Long run this morning. Headed over to the next neighborhood to do my 3.3m loop. Lap times of 29:38, 29:15, 29:02, plus a skosh more to make it exactly 10m. Felt pretty good. Legs not totally fresh, but it's been a hard training week and busy with stuff around the house.

From there I drove across town to drop off my van. I have a burned out turn signal. What should be a $3 fix will cost around $300. Why you may ask? Because Ford hasn't figured out how to keep water out of the hatch. The latch has rusted shut, again. To get to the screws to take the turn signal thingy off, you have to open the hatch. So they have to disassemble the door from the inside and replace the latch. Again. The only reason I'm having it fixed is because I need to replace the stupid turn signal bulb.

Rode Sapphire home. It's been a long time since I've bonked, but bonked I did on the ride home. Nuthin' in the tank. 12m death spin. Will repeat this afternoon when I pick up the van. The ride, not the bonk!

fuller--enjoy the rest.

David--only 27 and 3.5?! Was that your rest day?

Busy day at work so nothing until this evening...planning to do about a 45 minute spin, either road or trail, haven't decided yet.

I had planned an easy 5 + track tonight but my legs feel like they need some extra rest so will just do the track workout this evening - 800s.

Hawk - hope you get your spinny on

BBS - hey, at least you know that they'd be able to update their FB status after hitting you and thus alert the emergency services.

4boysmom - That is one expensive bulb... of course, a hammer and a clear plastic bag duct taped over the hole would work in a ghetto sort of way.

kfuller - rest up, rest down with the core.

Good job on the runs and rides, everyone. Quick one here as I am scrambling before taking off for the family road trip on Friday. We are hitting the NFL hall of fame in Canton and Hersheypark in PA. There will also be a visit with the disappearing jill, remember her :)

Good track workout yesterday, 1600, 4 x 400, 1200, 4 x 400, 1000. 1 minute between the 400s, 2 minutes between everything else. Averaged a little under 6:50 pace & finished pretty well Then a little over 10 on the trails this morning, much nicer than its been.
