Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Lots of tiredness going on. Hang tough, be smart, and for those of you who need to plow through it, just do it.

9 mile rolling hills run early this humid morning in just over an hour (actually was 8.75 miles in 1:02:54). Charged the rollers on the ups and tried to coast at honest effort on the downs. Tempo pacing after the first mile or two. Avg pace was roughly 7:10. (According to gmap-pedometer.com).

Thor- your comment about being tired got me thinking- this is the first day in a long time in which I have NOT been tired and I actually have a ton of energy. I guess I must be tapering well because I'm REALLY freakin' excited to race this weekend.

Today- just a nice walk with Rex and DH to keep the shin warm and calf relaxed.

Tried a 10 minute run this morning before the dentist. Was not 100% pain free but was ok and able to finish. Still going to play it safe and have the hubster run for me at MA state on Sunday.

Nothing in the books so far today. Felt asleep kinda late since Noisy Neighbor was being noisy again. On tap for after work is a 6 mile tempo run and some sort of swim workout. Could have done the run during lunch, but we don't have a shower and 6 miles of tempo pace generates more sweat than baby wipes can realistically handle.

Well ... all good things, etc ....

Looks like after 8.5 years in this gig, it'll be the last bike commute for a while (closing the facility down). Made it count with my first 20 mph AM commute of the season (16.9 miles), a nice and leisurely ride along the coast at lunch (21.75 miles - mid 17s), and probably the long commute home for about a 57 mile day...

Also, clicked over 2000 bike miles for the season during the lunch ride.

Wish me luck in the job search.

Sorry to hear, Reg. It sucks. I know. Especially when you've been there that long. Good luck in your search. And hey, if bad news had to come in this sort of form, it's not at all a bad time of year for it to come. I was bummed that my company hit the shitter in January. If it were June/July/August, I probably would have run across the state or country or done something other epic. Or at least I would have thought about doing it. Doing it is a different story. But good for you. Enjoy the summer. And yeah, I know, looking for a new job is a full time job. So plan some down time.

Reg - sorry to hear about the work situation!!! Will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Did a 3.5m run with the little otters this morning, and a brief OWS this afternoon. I was thinking about squeezing in a ride tonight, but all afternoon at the lake has left me pretty zonked. Ride on tap for tomorrow.

reg - sorry about your job loss. Good luck on your search. You got a nice volume going on this summer. Hope this situation wouldn't be too hard for your family.

45min. MTB ride. I didn't feel any wrist pain while changing gears. What gave me a shooting pain was bumpy downhills, ouch. I tried to hold onto the handle only genetley and almost lost a control and wiped out.

5.5mile run including some strides in the evening. Legs were tired and heavy; just needed to push through it.

Tammy - You're ready!

I've been having a bit of inner ankle pain on the right the last few days and I finally traced it down to the constant clip- unclip on my stoplight heavy commute. So I'm taking it easy this week. Rested it today. We'll see what the rest of the week brings.

Reg...sorry to hear about your job. Best wishes in your job search!

MQ...have fun at Mass State! I did the Oly in 2009 and 2010. Some of the pavement on the bike course is a bit rough, so be careful. Other than that, it's a nice course.

3100y at early morning masters swim for me. Got my old road bike out of the basement and rode to the pool and back. I don't enjoy my road bike as much as my tri bike and wish I had the means to fix that.
