Oh look! I get to start the thread.

Well, I don't really know what's in store for me today as far as running goes. It may just be a rest day. Either way, it's opening night for "Phantom of the Opera," and Phillip and I have veranda (loge) seats. YAY!

Great day to all!

Good morning Tonya, enjoy the Opera.

I am just sitting here wasting my time. I should have run, but I was hungry this mroning and ate way too much. So now I will have to wait till lunch. Oh well it is a short week for me anyhow.

Morning all;

Today I'm shooting for 3-4 miles easy/recovery miles today (indoor track or TM) so I'm fresh for my tempo run tomorrow. Ending the month with an fast paced run is always good. I should probably do some weights and core work too.

Have a good one!

Good morning once again all.

RunAsics have a good run later.

Richard sound pretty darn cold. I can do without the wind. It was quite windy here this morning so I opted not to run. So I ate breakfast and then got to work with no wind. So I couldn't run since I ate way to much. I usually workout in the morning after I get to work in the AM and then again at lunch.

Liz you will do great on the long distances once you learn to condition yourself to the endurance. you definately have the potential.

Guess you'll enjoy the opera tonight Tonya...

Have a good run later Dave.

Be careful if you do decide to get out there Richard

Enjoy the rest Asics.

I'm kind of grounded right now since the storms last night knocked out the network here at work, so I can't do much.

Last night's run kind of pissed me off because I don't like run, and there was a lot of it. Got my 10 in no problem, I was just pissed that I wasted one of my 160 bpm runs for the week on a day like that.

Hope everyone's got access to a treadmill today...

Good Morning

Tonya - Rest up for the opera! Have you seen Phantom? Fun show!

Dave - Boy, some morning's it's so hard for me not to eat before I run. I always have a snack but crave my big bowl of cereal. Have a good one later.

Mailbox - Sorry about the storm and your "wasted" run.

RunAsics - Have a great workout.

Richard - Definitely doesn't sound inviting or sane conditions. Get a rest day out of it.

Heading out for 3 in a bit. Rain and wind are all that await me!

Tonya, what, did you stay up all night? I've never seen you up this early before.

Four miles for me on the treadmill in 34:35. I am scheduled for a long run of 9-10 this Sunday, and my fast friend told me about a 15K that is not too far from my house. I may do it to see where I am, with six weeks to go until my half.

Gotta go - running late. (don't act so surprised).

Hello! Cross-training day for me which is fine with lots of wind out there. I will teach pilates, yoga, and spinning, then either do elliptical or fast incline walking while my friend does her run/walk today. She is doing C to 5k and already her heart rates aren't as high during the run portions -- cool! Then I plan to lift weights and then (best part) soak in the hot tub!

Richard and Mailbox Head, too bad the weather is getting in the way of your workouts. How dare it? MH I think you'd best find a treadmill...

Tonya and Phil, enjoy your night together.

Good runs and warm thoughts to all.

The treadmill's already been ordered. I'll still be outside in this stuff most of the time after the mill comes so I don't get soft, but it'll be nice to have an option.

I am thinking after another night of not so good sleep that I want to go crazy. I am thinking that a trip to the gym is on the schedule. It snowed last night and is suppose to snow some more, so outside is not a good option. I am ready for everyone in my house to get rid of their sickness. Have a great morning everyone.

Morning all!

Any guess where I started my morning??? Yep, the fish bowl! 2600yd ladder--WU 300, MS 100, 200, 300, 400, 400, 300, 200, 100, CD 300. Must have missed something because my usual time is 1:07. Today I did a 1:03.

I think I told you about the guy yesterday who told me that I swim like a barge? Yah, he was on the indoor track again...

Then, quick change and out for a short run. Coach only gave me 20mins, which was okay with me. 10* with 25mph winds. Brrrr!!!!!!! 2.2m, 19:17, 8:45pace.

Got back from my run and who do I see? Yep. Same guy. Normally I stretch on on the steps. Today I made a bee-line to the locker room! I DO NOT wanna deal with this guy!

Hey everyone,

The plan called for a one hour run with 4:00-5:00 Total Uphill Time...so it was a nice easy run of 6 miles and a few inclines mixed in. Much easier than yesterday's tempo run.

Richard: Yikes - unless you have a gym to go to, I'd say that's a day off for sure!
4boys: just go smack him!

everyone else...enjoy your day!

Richard yesterday was on the TM and today will be a no-brainer. Right now it's like -25 or 6 air temp, 18 mph winds, and -47 with WC. Another workout and it'll be boring as heck, but I know my tempo portion will be paced correctly.

Stay warm folks, and oh ya....no school for me today!

Another workday, another drive-by post.

It's windy in VA as well, though not quite so cold as in other places. Forecast says mid 40s for today but N/NW winds of up to 30 mph. I'm prepared for either a recovery run outdoors or some type of cross-training at George Mason this afternoon. Hopefully I can get out because it's another busy day -- crunch time on my proposal -- and I'm going to see St. Joe's take on GW tonight at the Smith Center. I love seeing my Hawks on the road...they should win this one.

Back later if time allows...
