Fishbowl this morning. Was supposed to be a time trial. Not real happy with the numbers. I suspect I held back too much in the early sets as I had way too much left in the tank for the last set. Oh well. Based on current events, not sure if I will even be racing this season.

Morning 4bm, nice job on the early swim.

I was also scheduled for the fishbowl this morning but after yesterday's early morning travel followed by a busy day once home, I was wiped out and decided I needed the sleep more. Good decision, as I'm feeling much better now.

Plan B - working on it. Either an easy run or a bike, maybe a combination of both. Much cooler today around here, in the 40s and windy, with chillier temps to follow as the week progresses.

Have fun out there fellow active people.

Good morning 4BoysMom. I will not be running until this afternoon and it should be snowing by then. We are finally getting our first big snow of the season and it will be nice. Have a great day everyone.

Kevin- Hope the snow run goes well later

I got in a very nice 6 this morning. Shins were a little funky in the first mile, but after that my legs felt great, better than they have felt on a run in a really long time. Not sure why..? But I'll take it.

Yesterday I got in 2 miles on the TM w/ 1 @ 5:58. Then I did 130 push ups followed by 150 crunches.

Gonna bust up some trails w/ the BIL tomorrow morning. My 25K can't get here soon enough. Did I mention this race has a water crossing @ mile 2 that can be waist deep? And its an O & B course, so you hit it again. Ozark mountain creek crossing in February.

Mom -- Awww, don't be that way. You're awesome.

Hawk -- I'm with BBS. Brick it!

Kevin -- Have a good snow run.

Happy Birthday jebba!

BBS -- You trail guys have my admiration. I like my courses flat, paved, and with somebody handing me a sports drink every mile.

Me -- Ran and swam yesterday. The wet work is so hard. Stupid water, all dense and hard to move through and everything. Snowing like heck today (finally), so I'll likely have a trainer session later. Maybe brick in a couple of home 'mill miles, too.

20 minute warm-up this morning on the rollers followed by an hour run. Something short of 7 miles. Lunchtime swim for 1600 meters.

No snow yet here, but I did get in a nice run. 5 miles at 8:30 pace. The last miles was 7:41, just to see what kind of speed my legs could handle. It will take a bit of good training to get where I want to be with my speed etc.....

Brilliant idea to do a brick today. 38 degrees with a 19 mph NW wind that seemed to be in my face no matter what direction I was going. Managed just under 18 miles but I did ride to where I will start work next week. Yep, it's bike commute distance (~8 miles) and I will be doing some of that once spring comes. Took a different, more familiar route home and that was the part that sucked as the winds pounded away at me with relentless fury.

2.4 mile jog afterwards to make it a brick. Legs felt like lead after that brutal ride.

My brick when much better than Hawk's -- because mine was indoors. 18 miles worth on the trainer for an hour, followed by 3 on the 'mill at 7:48 average.

Hawk -- Very glad to hear about the new gig.

Jebba - happy birthday. I think a few folks were in full on fartitude at the indoor track...

Got in 8 miles running in circles w/ 5*1k at ~3k-5k pace. Did the first few intervals too fast (who me?) and suffered the last two. Fun.
