Good morning all.

Did the 10-mile mountain road route again in light snow/sleet. heavier stuff is supposed to come this afternoon -- just in time for my evening commute -- yeah! May take a half day depending on what it looks like...

Loopy- hooray for the 1/2 day (if it happens)

Kevin- I am racing a 5K at the end of Feb.

I'm gonna take an unscheduled rest day today (will only be missing and easy 3). I have had some terrible shin cramps while running here lately. Yesterdays intervals were brutal... had to stop after the 3rd and walk around the house trying to loosen them up. Not sure why this is happening... I have put on some extra weight, but I'm still weighing less than I did this time last year...??

5 miles on the TM this morning. Could have gone at 4am, which is when we got a phone call to say we have a niece (a week early). Decided to sleep into 5am. May so some speedwork with some buddies on the local indoor track tonight . Not planning on more than 3 miles (famous last words).

Morning folks...

The snow Loopy was getting this morning was sleet turning to rain here...but the snow is coming later.

Wednesday is track workout night with the club, but I highly doubt that it will happen as snow is supposed to start falling in the afternoon and we could end up with as much as 8 inches. Yeah, that evening commute should be fun.

So I packed for indoors and will look to do the same workout on the TM -- 12-14 x 400 @ 10k pace.

RA - have fun speeding around that indoor oval

kevin - enjoy the rest day

BBS - what RA said on the shins, plus ice afterwards. You could try calf sleeves too.

Loopy - way to keep the natural order of things going with that 10

Hey all -

Old man winter is here and he is grumpy. I put miles in last night so I could call it a rest day today. Did a slow and steady 4m around town and actually the temps were a little warm and it was an enjoyable run. Pup wasn't use to running late at night so this morning she didn't wake up and slept thru everyone's morning routine. Hubby will have to let her out & feed her when she decides to start her day.

As mentioned rest day for me today and probably TM miles tomorrow. Is it spring yet?

Hawk - thanks for the positive comments on TnT.. I am looking forward to it.

Enjoy your day all ! Not looking forward to the commute home.

Hi everyone. Brr! I don't know how you folks manage these cold temps. It was 30* for me, which was fine, but any colder and I would have been unhappy. 7 miles total at lunch today.
