Morning peeps!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday! It was a fun day all around, and it's going to be a great year...I can FEEL it!

Fun: Goooooooooooooo GAMECOCKS! Back-to-Back CWS champs! Oh, yeahhhh. That's what I'm talking about, baby.

Not sure what's on tap for other fun today, but I'm sure it will be an interesting day at work. It usually is.

Howdy!

Fun: I dunno! Oh - wait.. the boss confirmed that I can take Friday off, so that's fun! 4-day weekend, baby! (though very little of it will be spent in a typical maxing-n-relaxing holiday fashion. Ahh well. At least I have an extra day to schedule stuff!

Crankyness ensues as I didn't sleep AGAIN last night. It's starting to piss me off but luckily it's not effecting me in other ways yet. I can't wait until my day off on friday. I'm sleeping in baby!!

Happy belated berfday, ann!

More thoughts and love to maureen and kate.

So, i'm working crazy hours for the next few weeks - between 36- 45 /week despite being part time. Our practice is down 4 people all of a sudden so we are stretched thiiiiin. It doesn't help that I have the mother of all colds; I haven't been this sick in a while. Oh well. At least most of the extra shifts I picked up are nights/weekends to minimize time away from AK. Another plus is that my sister has been uber helpful w/ AK. Finally, i'm going to do some retail therapy w/ all the extra cash i'm bringing in

I wish we had something like obx to look forward to. Btw, wip, are u still offering lip gloss??

I also have a 4-day weekend coming up. DW's cousin is getting married on Friday, so we need the day off to travel to CT for the wedding.

And I also am a little sleep-deprived today. DD still occasionally comes into our room in the middle of the night, and last night was one of those nights. My wife always lets her into the bed because we're too lazy to bring her back to her room. But the problem is that DD is a bit of a kicker. So I don't sleep well when she's there. Oh well...

College World Series: Hrmph! Well, congrats to the Cocks. I guess the Gators can't win every sport every year. At least title is in the SEC, I guess...

Sleep deprivation has caught up with me too. I didn't even set the alarm for the gym this morning. I think it was a good call, because I feel better (minus the guilt for missing another workout, of course).

Fun today: should be able to go out with some former neighbors for girls night tonight. Overdue, for sure!

Summer for me always bring sleep issues. Living here inthe Mitten means that the sun didn't go down last night until 10pm. I know, because we were sitting outside onthe deck watching the lightening bugs and the bats! Love that aspect of summer. Hate that it takes me another hour or two to feel like sleeping. But, My little friend and I (half an Ambien) went to bed ~midnight and slept GREAT!

Right now I am watching other people work! One half of the Giant willow tree is being cut down. (Damaged in storms this winter)

as soon as I find my scale I can make up some lipbalm. I know I packed it I just don't know what box it's in! Hopefully tomorrow I can go thru a couple more boxes and get them sorted out. I'm needing a lot of stuff I just can't find right now!

Morning all. Sorry to hear about all the sleep issues. I have been fortunate enough to have gotten great sleep lately. Including a nice 9 hours last night. Wish I could share a little with you all.

Wow Tonya - 10:00? I thought we had late sunlight here making it past 9. We saw our first lightning bugs last night - I love love love that part of summer too.

Hang in there Missy with work.

I am working as little as possible this week. I have some things on my to do list, but am gladly catching up on other things (including Kickrunners). I may even update my blog one of these days. Sheesh - I was so busy at work I never even wrote a race report for Eugene..... Perhaps it is too late now. Oh well.

RIL - gotta factor in that living in west MI means we're right on the western edge of the eastern time zone. 9 pm sundown for you is 10 for us even though we're just a few hundred miles apart.

Fun/Not Fun: working in the yard today. have to weed the flower beds in front of the house and put down some mulch, plus take out the lamp in the front yard. It's leaning bad and we never use it so it's a goner.

Hope the sleep deprived can score some good naps! Do it up, George Costanza style if necessary.

Not a whole lot to report in the fun or not fun categories over here. Beyond excited to go home and spend some quality time with my sibs and parents, looks like there will be some sand volleyball on tap in addition to beer pong (sibs formed a league, LOL), a nice girls brunch and of course the Cards game on the 4th.

Hi all - well, yesterday felt like a day in February: rainy and miserable and no fun really. And after last week's meetups with friends, this week is kinda' sparse - need to fun it up in some way.

For you gals out there, would you consider wearing running socks with high heels a faux pas? Not sure if there is standard operating procedure when it comes to socks & high heels, but I'd never seen that combo before for sure

Hoping the sun breaks out to start warming the environs up - after all, it is summer. Good days to you all

Uh.. granted I haven't worn heels in like... 4 years probably, but the last time I ever remember high heels and socks was back in the 80's, when the Madonna-lace-look was out. (lace socks, lace gloves, etc)

Um, did you see someone with running socks and heels? Odd. Very odd.

KP - very jealous. My flower beds have thistles (and lots of 'em) that are taller than me. Not good. Oh yeah, and thanks for the reminder on the time zone. I always forget MI is on East Coast time.
