Morning....

Its freaking snowing here, again! Whats really going on?! About 3" on the ground already... I thought this was supposed to be the Mid-SOUTH.

Looks like another TM day. Maybe 4 miles.

That sucks BBS. Been a weird weather year everywhere in the US I think.

No precipitation here (2 days in a row). Bit on the cold side, but still conducive for a relaxing 7 miler. Now back to studying for my massive final this Thursday. At the rate I'm going, I'll know the material but sleep through the exam.

Yep. Snow here, too. Well, it's that miserable drizzly frozen ice ball/occasional pathetic attempt at a snow flake. Just not feeling it this morning. Had planned on my 5.5m route. Had to settle for a short 3. Bleck. Depression sucks.

Morning folks,

No snow here just rain. Still warm, around 60. Cold front comes in behind the storm tomorrow but it will be like MBH's Kentucky weather, clear and dry.

Actually got up stupid early this morning and hit the fishbowl. Turns out there's a swim training group that meets up 3 days a week for an hour at the nearby rec center. They even have a coach! My former co-worker (and still training buddy) had been lobbying me for a while to give it a try. He even offered to pick me up, so I finally gave in this morning. I have to say it was pretty cool. As a novice swimmer I'm so used to just slogging along for 30-45 minutes, but this workout had real structure to it and even though I'm slow as hell, the hour flew by and I got a great workout.

I may not do 3 days a week but 2 days seems reasonable -- I'm going to give it another shot on Friday morning but I told my buddy I think I'm in for doing this at least throughout the winter months.

Anyway, 1400 yards for me today in 49 minutes or so of actual swim time (including short rests between sprints - I didn't bother stopping my watch).

BBS - enjoy watching that snow fall while you're on the belt.

MBH - your planned run today sounds exactly my planned run tomorrow - 7 in the chill

4BM - sorry about the blues but hopefully the run helped a little

kevin - smart move to listen to the body

I didn't sleep well so didn't make it out of bed to either run (freeze) outside or hit the gym. Now I'm too lazy to run at lunch; however will likely hit up the indoor track with my buddy this evening. 5* 1k. Should be interesting. I wonder how many walkers in the running lane will get stiff armed?

BBS - looks like we not only owned your HM but we also gave you our weather. Enjoy the TM.

Mailbox - nice job on the studious 7. Hope the exam goes just as smoothly.

Hawk - great cross-training opportunity! You'll be joining Chances as another convert to the triathlon...

4boysmom - bummer. Make a snowman.

kfuller - I wish I was as smart as you... sadly I'm driven to run when I shouldn't. I need a program.
