Good morning Kicksters!

4.75 mile run this morning on the treadmill. I ran a 1/4 of every mile at an incline of 12 @ 6.5 mph and the remainder was at an incline of 1 @ 8.0 mph. It was a good run. I ended up cutting it short.

Happy training everyone.

I was thinking of doing my first run in 2 weeks today. I want to go outside, but it is currently raining. I may just wait until the rain turns to snow as I don't want to go run on the treadmill.

Dave- Nice job on the run this morning.

Its cold, gray and rainy here today.... sounds like a perfect rest day. I really need to try to do something with this toy situation in our house, I bet DS has crap he didn't even know he got.

Hawk- re from yesterday; I was planning on doing exactly that (throw in a Tempo run) Before I would do some thing like 10x400 w/ 2% incline @ goal 5K papce on Tuesday, then turn around and do 12x400 w/ 2% incline @ 5K pace on Thursday.

Morning all (west coast time),

I just finished up some coffee and a Clif bar, time to go run...rainy here, too. So I'm still weighing whether go outside or do treadmill again.

Local forecasts are actually predicting some sun for the Portland area starting tomorrow. We'll see about that.

Have fun squeezing those final miles of 2010 in, everyone!

BBS- I hope to have some great race results in 2011 as well. I could have just gotten my daughter a whole bunch of cars and she would have been thrilled.

Dan- I just wanted to get my legs rested and see how it would help for 2011 to take a break.

I got out for 5 miles in 43:12(8:36). My right leg was quite sore towards the end. Hopefully that is just from not running for 2 weeks. Have a great morning/afternoon everyone.

Back in town and need to get my arse moving as I only ran once while on vacation. So, 10.25 jetlagged miles over lunch. Mid 30s, sunny but windy. My right foot and knee started to get sore around 8 miles - I think my shoes are done.

Nice workouts all. To busy unpacking and cleaning up to comment on all. Of course, I shouldn't be on here if I'm THAT busy.

OK, well I ended up opting for the outdoors today and I'm glad I did.

6.43 miles total with a 20 minute tempo run in the middle that actually ended up being 21 minutes. Covered just about 5k for the tempo run, so roughly 6:50 pace for that part. Not bad considering the entire tempo run was into a headwind. I had to splash through some pretty deep rain/mud puddles too; my formerly pristine white Saucony Kinvaras are now beige. Oh well. Gotta love this Oregon weather. One second the sun is out, next second it's overcast and rainy or snow flurries. I had a little bit of everything on this run.

DW & SIL may go work out at the complex's gym later. I dunno, maybe I'll join them and make it a double with a TM shakeout run. Or not.

Late check-in after a late start today - got in some intervals on the treadmill. Had planned 3 x 1 mile but split the last 2 miles into 4 half miles. Wasn't feeling all that great, maybe cold remnants or just how it goes... hopefully things will pick up before my 5k Saturday, though with temps close to 50 and rainy friday then 20s overnight I may need ice skates.

Nice runs & such all, and have a good one.
