Morning, peeps.

Up at BCOD today. Probably work from home. And the bike trainer might need me for an hour's spin.

Good ones.

Chances - enjoy the trainer...

Heavy rain = treadmill. Epic fail on 8 w/4 @ tempo. My right groin/abductor was not happy so I shut it down quickly. Finished with a sad face and 6 miles. I think I may have to just shut it down completely to let this thing heal. F'ing annoying to say the least.

Morning' gents.

Fail for me on the morning swim. Tossed and turned in bed all night for some reason, finally at 3:30 I got up & canceled the 5am alarm. I guess it was the right call as I did finally fall asleep. Will have to improvise on the XT workout for today now...bike maybe, or (ugh) elliptical.

Chances - when the trainer calls you must heed it.

RA - sorry about the groin problem. At least it's early in training.

Chances- hope your ride to nowhere is an enjoyable one

RA- Maybe if you stuck to running what the schedule says to run and not adding a few miles here and there?? Hope it heals up.

Hawk- I vote for bike

MBH- uummm... you going all the way to 31??? if so

I got in a decent 5 miler today. Legs felt a little stiff, but at least not sore. I think that the post-marathon last year kinda hampered my 5k training. It took about a month to get my normal 'easy' pace back. So I'm hoping maybe this year will be a better start.

And so it was. I biked the 14 mile version of my long run loop (which is really 14.7). Chilly and overcast but nice once I got warmed up.

One day at a time BBS. It will come back. It always does.

Bike well Chances.

Sometimes that's the best thing to do Asics. Although I can't help but wonder if the tempo went bad because of your undisciplined deviance from schedule earlier this week...

At least you were able to get a decent little work out in there Hawk. I think those types of workouts do a lot more good than the big ones where everything is going fine the whole time.

Hang in BBS- heavy mileage is almost always easier to recover from the second and third time around.

And yeah, I'm trying to get to the 31st. Right now I'm trying to hold off on doubles and more for as long as possible, but I know once I start stringing together 20 mile days I'll need to. I haven't actually read about anyone making it the whole way- but I have something the others don't- my complete and utter lack of any common sense.

Still very easy right now, 14 today with almost no fatigue, and a decent pace- probably something south of 8:30ish and getting faster by the end. I believe the end of this week will marl my first ever 100+ mile week, and it will also start basically 2 straight weeks of what I consider long run miles (nothing short of 18 registers as a long run IMO). That's when it'll start to get real, but I'll also be out of classes then so I can pull a Kenyan and sleep the rest of the day when I'm not running.

(I have to admit to cheating already though- doing the math, I didn't want to come so close to 500 without getting there, so I did five on the first of the month.)

Hey y'all. I got stuck in court, so no lunchtime run. Then I had to cart the kids to kung fu. Then mr jebba got stuck at work, so I couldn't run while he made dinner. Long story short, just a one mile keep-the-streak-alive run today. My goal for the week is 40 miles, so I need to average 6 miles the rest of the week.
