Morning, all. Back to work, for me at least. Lucky you who have the whole week off...

Congrats to all those who got out to run yesterday. I was never able to make it out. Oh well. I had a nice 13.5 miles on Monday, so I guess that was good enough to tide me over until today. I'm planning on getting together with my neighbor for a run this evening. I reckon we'll do 6-8 miles at a rather quick clip. We'll see...

Well folks, who else has a run to talk about?

Good morning Bob and those who follow!
Just got back from a nice 7 miler. It was hilly (for this area) and a bit of a struggle for me. I think it was the week or so of awful eating. I am back on the wagon today!
Have a great day!

Since I missed yesterday's run, and ate a house last night, I am out the door for about an hour....

Oh, the folly of the holidays...

Good morning! I got an easy run in yesterday between opening gifts and my family coming over for brunch. I also got to test out my brand new garmin ...

Hee hee hee. Loving it!!! How about you, RFTL? I saw you got yours. Have you used it yet?

I have to get moving here. Mom's going to take the girls while DH and I go out for 5. I mostly have to get him motivated.

morning

I ran a couple of times when at the parents. Not too much and not too far. It was mightly cold out on Sunday - neg 15 or so with the windchill. I actually overdressed though so what can you do. I got a new pair of running gloves for xmas and plan to use them tonight. Lots of snow here in the twin cities! I think it was 7 inches since Saturday.

Add me to the list of folk who overate & under fitnessed for the last day or two. I did break a sweat doing some Wii boxing, but that was about it.

Therefore, a short run is a must at some point today.

Check in later.

morning!

Just back from a sleazy 4 miler along the beach again. Good stuff. Had to sweat out the tons of food and yummy wine that I consumed all day yesterday.

All you Garmin getters -- I'm jealous. I got a lap watch (wanted it) but a Garmin would be cool, too.

Well, I got my LR in on Monday instead of Sunday, and then yesterday I went out for an easy 1 hour bike ride. Ended up riding in an incredible wind. I almost got run over by a huge tumbleweed blowing across the road. Seriously, it was up to my eye level. I had to push hard to get by in front of it, 'cause I saw it too late to stop before it. It took me 32 min on the way out and 42 min to get back. UGH! So much for an easy ride.

The pool was nice and warm today and I had an ok time trial. I did 1000m in 21:01. I still want to get my average per 100m below 2 min, but I think I need to be more consistent at the pool for that to happen. Once a week just ain't enough.

Add me to the list of over-eaters. Just could not stop myself even when I was full. At least I did get my workouts in or I would have gained more than I did.

Well, I'll try to drop by later. Good runs all.

Hello everyone! I'm planning to get something in 7-8 mi neighborhood done today with little sis #2 and little bro. The weather here in STL is grand ...grand I tell ya! We didn't make it out for a run yesterday but did spend several hours in the park playing SPUD and then kickball. Damn it still hurts to try and catch a big ass pop-up when the ball is a soccer ball - bring back them red balls (ha!) from the playground.

Cus Wii boxing is good cardio

It's gray and nasty here, and I have to put in 14. I think I might try for the TM. 14 on the TM would be a record. I'm anxious to try it out now that I've calibrated it though.

Morning Gang...hope those Christmas hangovers aren't too bad!

4.28 this morning on some very wobbly, tired legs. Still sore from running in the deep snow here on Monday, but at least I made it out there today.

Jill, RFTL enjoy the garmins. Can't wait to get my new iPod loaded with my music for a run tomorrow!

Hi.

Wow, I've been a slug. Well, not entirely. I've done stuff every day, just not necessarily running: 1) didn't want to piss off the tendons in my left foot any more than they already were (felt like PF but up at the base of my 3 middle toes), and 2) running in monsoons when it's 35* with thumb of God wind s.u.c.k.s.

I've walked miles and miles and miles though. And did lots of tapes. And did get some runs in, just not as much as I would have liked to.

Hi all - waiting for this cold and associated blah feeling to get away enough so I can at least get in some decent swimming and strength workouts (hopefully by this Friday, if things go well.)

One thing the cold did do was dampen my appetite for the past couple days, including Christmas dinner. That's fine, because I was binging a bit the few days prior.

Yea, the weather's been a bit weird lately!

Got 5 miles in Christmas morning. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever run on Christmas. Not a bad run. Mingo Junction is pretty freakin' hilly, though!

I'll get out today for either 5 or 10 miles at lunch. Another 50-mile week this week. Just hopin' to hold it together.

And I definitely ate way too much and hammered the sweets the last couple days.
