Office is closed until after New Year's. I REALLY need to join Becca in the great closet clean up, I have two closets and a practice studio that are bursting with all the things that didn't really have a home. And I should finish the two finals I have for my online courses...And I should....you get the picture.

I am working this morning then driving to Philly to drop my bro off at the airport. I'm not looking forward to it. It would mean getting out of bed (where I am now). This cold is getting worse instead of better.

And this evening my in-laws are showing up and staying until Saturday. Do you think they will mind if I just stay in bed while they are here?

Today is the only day I'm working but I will probably have to login a couple hours before New Years to finish some online training I procrastinated on.

Back to work for me. And yes I have gifts to return.......... 3 pairs of pants that are too big Speaking of which, last night at the extended family get together I was immediately greeted by praise of how much weight I had lost and how much better I looked. I'm not one for the spotlight but I had to smile and say thank you for the kind words. I think I was about 220 at Christmas last year as opposed to 206 yesterday so that's a good thing. We will see what happens if I am at about 185 next year. And as the questions came to me I had to point them all to c25k. hehe.

Well I need to get ready for work. It will be slow and boring. Next year, if I am still here, I need to take the day before or day after just as a few co-workers did.

It's kind of cool when stuff like that happens.

At Christmas Eve dinner, I was getting my stuff from the serving table and my brother was behind me. He made a comment about how my lats were really becoming noticeable and I guess they must be if they can be seen when I was wearing a tee shirt without it being tucked in.

I took today off work because it was too much to drive up and back in one day (2 hr drive to my parents). Nothing to return because mostly all I have are gc's to Kohls. I desperately need winter clothing, so this was the top item on my list. My mom and friend and I may hit the sales just to see what is out there, however. I'll do my clothing shopping later this week, because I also have a gc from my bday to add to the mix.

My uncle who died this summer loved trains and collected them. He left all of them to my sister because her son loves trains too. There were so many that my sister and her DH were able to give my other 2 uncles, my cousin, and all 7 sibs in my family the beginnings of a train set: engine, a couple cars, etc. I haven't taken a close look yet, but apparently mine is the kind of engine that can be set up like a cable car. There wasn't enough track to go around, so that was all left in a box for people to take what they need/want. I may wait on that, since I have limited space to actually set up a working train in my apartment.

Cool Kris - I used to be into model railroading. Still have a pretty large board in my basement in storage along with all of my trains and supplies. Do you know what "scale" the trains you got are? I have a lot of track if you need it (mostly H and O scale.)

P.S. - Ladies - all indications are that DW thinks the earrings are too larger for her (remember the ones I picked were the studs.) But the jeans were a hit.

P.S. - MAC users. We are getting an iMac this week - late X-Mas gift. Anything we need to be aware of pre-purchase? We're going with the mac-daddy 24 inch/2.8 GHz model.

morning, all!

Hope everyone enjoyed the day yesterday. I'm still at the shore. Just got back from an easy run. I have a couple things to return, but overall I did pretty well this Christmas. My parents, in addition to a bunch of other cool stuff, gave me money towards getting a bike trainer. I'm hoping to buy it today or tomorrow so I can get it set up while I'm home this week... yay!

Feel better Heather and HH!
Kris - my dad used to have a HUGE model train set-up. Super cool.
LL - Jeans that work are tougher to find -- the earrings are something she'll have an easier time exchanging. I'd say ya done good!
Theia - I may get in touch with you about the bike trainer purchase if I have some questions in the process, if that's ok...

ok, I'm sweaty and need a shower. Heading home from the shore in a bit...
