Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Still slammed busy so right to it for me...

5 mile run early this frigid morning in 14F with wndchills knocking the real feel down to zero. Sounds horrendous but, in reality, there is no bad weather; there is only bad gear, as my philosophy goes... I had decent gear. Worked up a good sweat but on the slower side, as is expected. Was going to hit up the Y for some treadmill action, but decided to put it off since, after all, my legs still haven't gotten full zip back in them since Stone Cat (50 miles) and then Mill Cities (27.5 miles). Might just wait until after Christmas.

Great day, Peeps!

Still knocking out the run miles and splish splash in the fishbowl. Poor Sapphire has been sitting in the entry way for the past couple weeks. Just no desire to ride right now.

Managed to join the "more miles than degrees" club this morning. Planned on sleeping in and delaying my run until after school. But, woke up regular time and saw that it was 3*. Sigh... Quickly dressed for a run and knocked out a 4.1miler. Returned home and it was 4.0*. Just made it!

Woke up alter than I wanted but did manage to squeeze in 30 minutes on the elliptical and PT exercises before freezing during my commute to work in the wind tunnel.

Lots of admiration for Thor and 4boys who got out there to run in the frigid temps. Psychologically difficult to get up the desire for me to run that early, in that cold midweek.

Solid job you polar bears! I must admit that I do like to run in the cold weather, but not before work. I slept in a bit this morning which was nice.

I have run the past two days and I am going to hop on the bike tonight (trainer in the basement) and keep my wife company as she wraps all of the Christmas presents for our daughters.

4bm - That Is Cold in early December!

Temp hovering around 20F here, less wind than the last few days (20-25mph). 7miles done. Yesterday was 5miles in mid-day under sunny but chilly wind and another 5miles in dark. Cold/wind doesn't bother me much (yet) but snow, snow, and snow :( .

Great job getting out there this morning folks. May have been cold but at least it was dry.

played hockey for the first time in 6 months this morning. shifts were short but I was working. felt great to be back on the ice. Before the skate I did the pump workout at the Y, skipping lunges as my knee has been acting up.

Thor - totally agree with your philosophy. Case in point: Eli slept through an hour stroller run in 27 degrees and wind. Don't know what the wind chill was, but clearly he was snug with appropriate winter gear. Thank goodness because he is so much pleasanter when he has some outdoor time! Great run through town then woke up in the middle of a playgroup of all girls. What a life!

Beth--is Eli happier with outdoor time or is Mom happier that she got outdoor time? When my guys were little, we went for walks every day. I babysat and kept an extra snowsuit because the little boy's coat wasn't warm enough. As long as they are bundled up and warm, they're fine!

Just a trainer workout for me today. Still not up to par, but getting there. Should be able to bust out some heavy duty stuff in the next week or so.

Supposed to go to masters swim tonight, too, but my back is pretty tweaked from all the furniture moving and wall painting at the new office, so to hell with it.

Late post...did weights in the morning followed by 8 hours at Disneyland with my parents and the kiddos, which I will call my cardio for the day. :)
