Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Today is the funeral for Gustav. Please keep Bonnie and her family in mind. She'll need all the love and support we can give.

Me...

6 mile up-tempo run early this mild morning before the rains come. Have a relay race this weekend so needed to flush the legs out now that the hammy issue is behind me. So I slapped Less Than Jake on the iPod, stuffed the speakers in my ears, and shot out the door for some fast running. Notched an all-time course PR by 15 seconds, and that included a 15 to 30 second STOP to talk to a friend driving by! Ready for this weekend.

Loving, supportive thoughts streamed toward Montreal today.

Thinking of you Bonnie.

Sitting in the car in the Y parking lot waiting for Eli to wake up so we can go swim (me first!). He's teething and naps are hard to come by so I'm not letting this one get away!

Thinking of you Bonnie today

Due to excessive snow my work outs today were a loosing battle to try and keep the road cleared - 3 hrs of shovelling followed by 2 hours of sledging on the local golf course - followed by a long hot bath.

Bonnie - Prayers to you and your family.

Thor - solid run, as always.

Eric - I am right with you on your run

Me: It is rain and warm, tomorrow with be sunny and cold. With that said, I did a 3.5 mile run out on the rainy streets around my office. Not all that bad, I was running with my friend Chris, always a good time running with him. My lower back is a bit sore, most likely due to my body still healing from IMAZ. I am taking it easy but want to stay active.

On a non-running note, I have gotten good news on the job front and there is a chance I could get a job offer late this week or early next week. It all comes down to the speed of their HR office. I am hoping that it all happens soon, I am hating my job still and a new employment situation would make the perfect Christmas present.

Have a good day everyone.

Spent the morning at outpatient surgery since the little man needed to get some tubes and have his adenoids taken out. He's recovering splendidly, almost back to his old self and eating everything in sight. I thought he was supposed to be more out of it than this but he also had the opposite reaction to the sedative they gave him before he went under. *shrug*

6 mile run this afternoon...first in some shoes I'm wear testing. Don't know what to think yet.

Thought about family, friends, Bonnie, and her babies through it all. In times of great sadness, there are glimmers of hope. One of my friends welcomed a baby into the world this morning.

Wow, there is a lot going on in LIT-Land lately.

Bonnie - Sigh...we all love you. What else is there to say, really? I wish somehow this entire group could show up at your door and give you a giant group hug-and-cry. Hang in there, Friend.

Miles - Good luck on the job front. Sucks to go to a job you hate.

Hobey - Good to hear that N's procedure went well, I will bring a decibal meter to our next gathering to test your "our kid isn't loud, he just couldn't hear" theory. ;)

Me - Just masters swim this evening, too busy for anything else. Full-day tax seminar, followed by signing an official office lease! Got the keys and everything!! Will post a virtual tour as soon as we get some furniture moved in (got to buy it first). Exciting times, indeed.

{{{Hugs to everyone (ass-out for the dudes) during this amazingly turbulent week}}}

Jamie - Hoping you get good news on the job! I've begun searching for a new position myself...blah.

It was the little guy's first birthday so we sat around the Christmas tree eating cupcakes and opening presents. Not a bad way to spend the evening.

Looking forward to racing on Saturday...here's hoping it puts the wind back in my sails.
