Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Mayor: Garbage Truck Racers don't actually blow their air horns for the world to hear -- only me and my peeps. As each comes by, I pump my fist up and down like a piston, or perhaps more like a grade schooler in a school bus on a field trip, and when the garbage trucks come racing by, one or two, but not all (usually there are 3 or 4 in all) blip their air horn so that only those in the proximity can barely hear it. We jump up and down while they wave back. Kind of a dance we do each Tuesday. So you could live on the route and never know what was going on.

Julie: Congratulations on the new job!

Beth: Tell Matt I said hello. Glad to see him getting back on the bike even if he's getting his wheels handed to him.

Me...

7 mile run early this stoopid-hoomid morning with 6 hill repeats in all:

o WU - 3.5 miles (including one pass of hill, and one mile long gradual incline that I charged)

o 5 x Hill (~.3 miles) w/jog back down recovery (1:59, 2:01, 2:03, 2:06, 2:07)

Not the workout I wanted but, after a rough night sleep, I came close enough to be happy with it.

Great day, Tri-peeps!

Workout #1 - 45 minute run with a main set of 5 x 3' hard with 3' recovery.

the plan is to attempt a quality bike workout later today before starting to tone things down a bit for this weekend's race (Gloucester Fisherman Sprint, which apparently is going to have one of the deepest short course fields in NE this year)

Julie - let me add my congrats on the new job. Same field? (technology/sales, if I recall correctly)

1 hr on the exercise bike this morning, random hill profile with the top end about 294 watts.

Heading to Anchorage tonight then back home by Friday morning for a two week hitch at home.

Happy hump-day everyone!

Thor--sounds like what my sister and I used to do on vacations. Although, it would scare the crap out of dad to have semis blowing their horn for "no good reason". Needless to say, we thought it was funny!

I'm going to go with a few exercises and push-ups and probably a whole lot of nothing. Tired, cranky, and don't want to do much today.

So tired this morning, just didn't want to get out of bed, 5:00AM came way too early.

45 minutes on the trainer spent watching the end of the 2007 IM World Championships. FIB, 25 minute run (~3.1 miles) that really just sucked. I was so tired this morning, the result of a tough run yesterday afternoon, and I was sweating like a pig.

I'm looking forward to heading to the pool to meet up with the wife and kids tonight after work. No laps, just playing in the water and trying to complete my first 1 1/2 off of the diving board this year.....1st attempted ended in a modified belly-flop and lot of pain.

Have a spectacular day all!

5 miler at lunch - at a steady 8:20-8:30 pace (ended up 8:25 avg). Guess I should be happy enough seeing as 1) it's nearly 90 and muggy as hell, and 2) ran for a grand total of 3 days last month and the last one was 2 weeks ago.

Guess I should pick things up on the running front in the fall...

Julie - congrats! And give us some details will ya? Working from home again?

Sparty - ohhhh I am excited to hear your news!

Mike - safe trip! Already 2 weeks (if I remember correctly that is your 'shift')?!

PR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I followed my heart and took MTB to nearby singletrack. Wasn't going to ride too hard with eyes on this weekend's Oly (Sylvania) but once I started riding I was flyin! I had plenty of bike legs left to climb hills (due to only 1 riding since HIM) and no fear going downhills and decided to give sh*t about this weekend's race. 36:55 compared to my previous PR of 39:05, YAY!!!! I may have to give some serious thoughts about trying... winter MTB race or cyclocross . I may run 4-5miles later.

Up early to log 4.5 miles before getting ready for work which meant BrewDad was up even earlier to run 13. This could become the new normal with my crazy work hell schedule. Hoping to make it to the pool this evening but we'll see since I now have a 4:30 meeting on the schedule. *sigh*

1mil OWS Lake Michigan, in the rain. Man, I hate getting wet before a swim!

POTUS flew over my head in Marine1. That was kinda cool. They were about 100ft from the ground and 50ft from the clouds. It was kind of icky. I bet only the military guys were flying, there wasn't sh!t for visibility.
