Good morning, Team LIT!

Me...

4 mile run early this morning. Felt the calf like I always do, but I'm getting slightly more connection to the ground, and I'm able to use it (although I am not), which makes me now 60-40% in for Boston. Won't be able to race. Will only do it if I feel I can run the entire way without injuring further. That's the wildcard.

Not sure which thread to post on... choices, choices....

Up early this morning to run. It's been an oddly frustrating day or so in my life.

Got up at 4:30 this morning to go run. Actually got up at 4:45 to go run. Actually got out the door by 5am to go run. Thought the route I was taking would be close to 3 miles. Actual mileage was short of that. Realized, on my run, that I had forgotten to pack my swim workout and my watch for my swim this afternoon. Reminded myself many times not to forget this stuff. Got home. Got coffee, stretched, iced, got my workout sheet packed. Took a shower. Crap.. my watch, wth is it??? Ugh, can't find my watch. I'll eat.. it'll come to me where it is... I just wore it last night. It's not anywhere that I think it should be. Leave 10 minutes late looking for stupid watch.

Still sitting here trying to figure out where stupid watch is.

All of this wouldn't be so bad except last night I could not find 2 things I needed this morning- the phone I take running and my headlamp. I literally tore the house apart for almost 90 minutes. I finally gave up. Crap!!! I'll just run a route I know. It'll be fine. And I'll take Rex. And hey- no one is out before 5 am anyway.

Then I say to Steve.. do you have any idea when the last time my headlamp was used? He says... well, I used it when I was trying to fix the connections to the amp and the TV with BD at the Superbowl party. Hmmmm, Steve, did you maybe leave somewhere at YOUR level? He goes downstairs and comes up with a huge smile on his face... found it. It was on top of the entertainment center. Yeah, I never thought to look there. Maybe cuz I can't freakin' REACH IT!!!!!

Still can't find the damn phone. And now I can't find my watch... and still trying to figure out what I did with it after my ride last night.

So, to the pool I go this afternoon. Then off to celebrate Kristine's marathon success with dinner and wine.

Then maybe I'll find my watch.

Going out for a run right now. It will probably be 4 miles. Temp is 77, so we'll have to see how I handle it today. I need the warm weather training, which is why I waited until now to get out. I'm getting excited about my century ride this weekend. Weather will be perfect! 50s for the lows and low 80s for the highs, 10 mph wind from the ENE. That could change in 5 mins., but I'm happy about that so far! Shoulders are sore from yoga, but not as bad as I thought they'd be yesterday. Upper back is a bit sore, but also not bad. Core feels good, which is a REALLY good thing for me! :)

2900y at masters swim this morning. Lots of pulling, drills, and focus on form, but not much speedplay = nice change of pace.

Then, a massage. Ahhhhh.

Thanks Sparty for the comment yesterday.

I had this 60 minute trainer ride: 10 easy, 10min :)30 big gear/:30easy), 3 x 1 min hard/1min rest, 2 x 2min hard /2min rest, 1 x 3min hard, 3min rest, then go back down the ladder to 3 x 1min. hard was as hard as you could go. That was ok, then 30 minutes on the tm, build to about 7 pace for 5 minutes, then shut it down easy. At 20 minutes my old leg injury hurt, I stopped and turned off the tm. Hopefully it was just a twitch or something. I have a half iron this weekend... F*CK!... effing track last night.

Another 5-mile push of the littles around the neighborhood and lake. Definitely felt better than Monday and yesterday, so that was encouraging. But I'll tell ya...I'm just so darn tired. And cranky. I know it's normal for this phase of marathon training, but it still kind of sneaks up on me. Next week is the last hard week then taper, and I'm definitely ready for it.
