Good day all! Been a while since I here. Hope all is well.

This morning I was scheduled for a 5 mile run with a 5K tempo run in the middle. The run turned out pretty good. WU @ 7:51 and the 5K I averaged 6:48, not bad at all. I was pleased especially with the wind. When I made the turn and headed back that head wind was brutal.

Happy training everyone.

Good morning! Yesterday I somehow managed to slam my toe--it's the one next tot he smallest one. It's swollen and bruised, but Mr jebba says it's not broken, thank goodness. I'm waiting until tonight to attempt a run. I sure hope that toe isn't the end on my streak.

Good morning BBS, Dave and Jebba.

Today was a great run. It was an unscheduled progression run.

The splits for today are

9:35; 9:00; 8:31 7:55; 7:45

After the first mile it really felt effortless today. I am hoping that this kind of effortless run will become normal now.

Nice job on all the workouts this morning

Jebba- Good luck with the toe.

Wet and windy this morning so I hit the indoor track for 10 GA miles. Had planned on 6-8 but decided to just keep going while I was there. Anyway, got home and then had to take DD to the Dr since she's been coughing and not sleeping well all week. Some kind of daycare germ that's going around. Should be on the mend in the next day or so. Hopefully we can get some sleep...

kfuller - nice progression

Jebba - Ouch! Hope the toe heals up quickly.

BBS - admit it, the "doll house" is for your man cave.

Dave - nice going on the windy tempo run. When that happens my splits are typically 6:20s out and 6:50s back.

Lunchtime swim for me today. This first I hyave been in the water in 3 months. It was suppose to be 500 meters continuous, but I miss counted and did 550 in just over 10 minutes. No worries, better long than short I guess. It felt good, but I think I will feel it in the morning.

jebba--what did you do to your foot?

David--counting to 10 really shouldn't be that hard. Somehow I screw it up all the time.

Track for me this afternoon. Pouring rain and stupid windy. At least I didn't have to deal with the middle school gym class? 2m WU, 2m @ race pace, 2m CD. Meh... got 'er done.

Good evening all...

Long day again for me. I was at a conference for much of the day and then this afternoon it was off to the dentist. My upper left wisdom tooth, a problem for a while, finally starting going crazy on me a couple of days ago. After three days of pain and agony, I finally got it yanked this afternoon. Unfortunately I'm still bleeding a bit in that area, so it looks like an unplanned rest day here.

Today's plan was 16 x 400 at 10k pace, and it looks like run time tomorrow will have to be early AM. But I am not very good at doing that kind of workout in early AM. I almost always do my speedwork in afternoon or evening.

So I may just settle for an easy run and plan on incorporating some fartleks into my weekend long run.

Nice running in all the wacky early March conditions, everyone.
