Greetings, all.

Yesterday was the first somewhat cool day we've felt in ages, and maybe it was that cool air (and being comfy in my Stewie Griffin PJ pants!), but I slept beautifully last night. Knowing that i was working from home today, I didn't even set the alarm and climbed out of bed around 7:10m. Wow. So THAT is what a normal night of sleep feels like. I'm sure i wont experience it again for months, but for once, I'm feeling pretty rested.

Prae - I'm sorry that your results weren't what you were hoping for, but you are right in that medication to help one aspect of a body can cause havoc on other parts of the body. Keep the faith, sister, and kudos for getting out of bed this morning to get some miles in!

Mindi - is GoTR not held in the summer? You'd think I would have figured that out by now.

My running: I got 3M in last night on the TM, and came to a conclusion. About 3 weeks or so ago, I had been using a pair of mizuno wave rider 14's - especially for my long runs. I was starting to have issues with my calf/achilles areas. After some comments here, I put those shoes to the side and kept on with the one pair of 13 model I had, plus two other Saucony models.

Lo and behold, after the achilles were feeling pretty good, I tried last night's run with the WR 14 model again. Sure enough, the achilles issue creeped up again. Dangit.

There was a positive ending to the night, though. The new (and unused) pair of 14's that I bought from runningwarehouse can be returned. (woohoo). I've read online that in December, Mizuno will release the 15 model, which returns more to the 12/13 style (woohoo!)

Finally, by some stroke of luck, I was looking for the mizuno box to send back the unused 14's... and ran across an UNOPENED, UNUSED pair of Mizuno WR 13's!. WOOHOO!! I was all stressing about what shoes I'd be in for the half marathon in October, but now I know that I have something reliable on hand, at least.

Whew.
