Dan - nice job kickin' it.

BBS - have fun with the double hash marks. Belated congratulations to you and also Chances.

I bagged my run this morning... too tired. DD didn't sleep well hence I didn't sleep well. A bit annoying that I'm not making my miles but that's the way it goes sometimes. Anyway, track after work. The workout was changed to a 1 mile time trial, which seems to be just about the wrong thing to do with most folks aiming for the Chicago marathon in 3 week. Some 800s or 1200 would have been more appropriate. Oh well. Not my day I guess.

Mornin,

No posting yesterday because I was tied up all day in a work meeting - we had one of those "team offsites" out in the countryside followed by dinner in Middleburg (what Virginians call "horse country"). I actually got up and ran before making the morning drive out...7 miles easy in the neighborhood in pre-dawn drizzly conditions. Did so because I ended up with an unplanned goose egg on Monday.

Got home last night around 10pm, completely beat after the long day. So any thought of repeating the early AM run this morning was DOA.

Back to the old routine today. Schedule says "intervals" but I'll do something more along the lines of tempo -- I'm thinking maybe 7 with 30 minutes @ sub-threshold pace (i.e., faster than MP but not quite HM or 10M pace). Will have to be a midday run as I have a networking/dinner event with my professional association this evening.

BBS - have fun with the double. I mean, the double IPA post group run.

kevin - enjoy the rest day. I've been slacking with the weights and core, gotta back on that myself.

Dan - you're definitely ready to kick something.

RA - mile time trial...odd choice of taper period workout but I don't see anything particularly wrong with airing it out like that for a mile. At least the workout will be over quickly.

So much for running in the rain. Ended up with overcast/partly sunny and 70*. Meh... Supposed to be an easy recovery run. Felt like I was running it too hard, but just couldn't throttle back. 5.69m, 49:15, 8:39pace.

September seems to be the popular month here. Next week we'll have 21yrs.
