70 years ago today!! Thank you to our military.

30 dgrees but no wind at all this morning. Very crisp morning. We get colder here than that but usually mid to upper 20's so this was cold for us.

Suppose to be 45-50 Saturday for the race and 30% chance of showers. So who knows what we will get but it sounds promising. A woman from Colorado is suppose to come run our half and she has run a 2:41 marathon and is an olympic qualifier. Her goal Sat. is 1:17 with a personal best of 1:16. She will be fun to watch..................from a distance. I hope to run 1:25 -27.

From reading yesterday's posts; it looks like everyone had a pretty good day. Here is to another one. (Clinking ice cold diet pepsi glasses together)

Was going to run very early in similar temperatures (there's a light dusting of snow on the ground), but I had an emergency conference call with Belgium to do first. Blinkin' work keeps getting in the way! Will set out after work... this time I'd better not forget my headlamp.

Have a greta day, everyone!!

You wore hamstring braces in the pool, TW??? You have come a long way in 2 years.

Guess that flotation belt's been mandatory, eh?

I managed to skip out for 6 miles at lunch instead of waiting for later. Run was good..... time spent looking for a bathroom on the route (twice) was not.

Hi everyone

nice math the other day Rip

I hate to break the bad news to ya KS, but you're only middle aged if you plan on living to be 110.

nice running Baba & good luck at the race this weekend Liam

Got the custom orthotics yesterday. Podiatrist says to wear a neutral shoe now. So the local running store proprietor & myself spent some time trying on new shoes. I think she enjoyed it more than I did. Settled on Asics Nimbus 13's. Went to the gym this morning and ran 2 TM miles in 'em, gradually increasing the speed from 10MM to 8MM, and they seemed to feel OK, actually they felt real nice, but I hesitate to say anything in case there's a delayed onset problem. Then changed into my old running shoes and ran 3 more TM miles, giving me a little more than 5 for the day.

That's some pretty bad news Tammy.....I hope he can beat the odds and recover, but those are some heavy odds. I have a logger friend who was hit by a tree in the woods and he's paralyzed from the waist down. He's rigged up a system to make custom furniture now. People seem to adapt to anything.
