Looks like CR was up still afterall...wonder when that construction will truly begin? Oh well...glad to have all the newcomers here. Hoping for 6 or 7 easy after school, and praying for light winds or none at all. Have a great day folks.

A warm 5.4 mile run this morning. Forgot to turn on my heart rate monitor alarm for the first three miles, so I probably ran above my training zone for a while.

Good morning all.

Nothing for me this morning. Dr. gave me some new meds. If the swelling goes away I am clear to start running again. He said I have mostly degenerative joint in my knee. Not much they can do i guess. I will see an orthopedic in January.

Happy running all.

Hi everyone. It was nice to see so many people in here yesterday!

Nothing planned for me today. Yesterday I did 30 minutes stationary bike before teaching yoga -- felt good.

My legs feel great, but one of my toes is crazy inflamed/swollen and I can't seem to calm it down. I may have to go to the Dr.??

Hey everybody,

Probably just a regular 8+ mile lunchtime run for me today.

CoolRunners can vouch for me in saying that is the norm.

Hey Alex, just wondering why you're trying to recruit everyone?

Tonya - If I may put words in Alex's mouth...

I like the forum tools, user interfaces, smileys, sys admins, all that stuff about KR. I like the way the R&RR group has come together on CR. That takes time. It's not easily duplicated. There's some really nice people here, too. So, if CR goes away or becomes intolerable because of whatever changes Active makes, this would not be a bad place to land.

It's not so much a recruitment effort as a retention effort. That's my take, anyway.

Lots of studying for ochem and accounting finals, and a little bit of running today. I'll put in 2 miles during my study break.

I am impressed with this sight so far. We will see how CR/Active turns out in the long run. No objections to staying here are KR.

I guess i will continue to post on both sights for now. A lot of activity on here today. Great job all.

good afternoon everyone. I am going to go running soon. When my brother gets here from work to watch my kids I can go for about 5 miles. I not sure if we are posting here or the temp. area or coolrunning since it is still up today. Either way I guess I will join in the conversation.

Ran 5 last night in 48:46 or so. That includes stoppage time for an off-leash German Shepherd who came growling right up to me. So, I'm happy with the time, but not happy with the dog or its owner. It's the second time with this particular dog. If it happens again, I'm calling animal control on him.

Nice to see I can finally get in here. For some reason I couldn't log on to this site earlier. Good thing, because Cool Running is officially in hibernation now.

As reported there earlier, today was a second straight "ease into post-marathon recovery" day for me. Last night I finally got on the elliptical for a whopping 28 minutes.

Today I went for a brisk power-walk at lunchtime, about 2.25 miles.

Bottom line -- I'm just taking it day by day, figuring my body will let me know when it's ready to run again. But that said, I hope by Friday.
