Last night the forecast was for temps near -17c or 1f, so I dressed appropriately. Well, it was -7c or 19f and that makes a difference. A tad over-dressed, but it was a recovery run so it wasn't as bad as if I had been going full out.

4.3 miles at lunch. Sunny, breezy, around 40 degrees. A real nice run.

Grizz - I can't imagine how cold that is to run in -

I went to the gym and ran a 5K on the dreadmill in 26:13, steady, sub 8:30 pace run - Reasonably happy with run, but need to get the speed/stamina thing sorted quickly as I only have 9 1/2 weeks to go to target.

Great run today....felt pretty energized again after yesterday....a bit harder than easy but still not working for it. ~7:55 for 4.4 miles, going by the time on the clock before and after the run. I'll save the watch for workouts and my road races. It's liberating running without it every now and then. Then played b-ball for about 45 mins. Off to do some core/pushups/whatnot, and stretching and massaging. Pretty warm here as well Grizz. 30 w/ about 10mph winds for about 21 w/ WC. Besides my neck I was great today.

Another gorgeous day: 58F and clear at 12pm.

My quads are still barking at me from what I did to them on Monday, so I decided to stay out of the hills and run a flat route. Click here for a gmap link.

Ran a few miles on roads and the rest on dirt trails along the Quarry Lakes and the Alameda Creek trail towards Niles Canyon. Retraced my steps to return home for a total of 12.5 miles in about 1:47. Stopped to walk and drink a few times and generally enjoyed the views of Mission Peak.

Alex -- sounds like you enjoyed your run, all right!

Arrojo, that's a tasty lunch indeed.

Liam, what is your next race?

Grizzly, that would be a big difference from 19f to 1f.

jensparks, one of these days I will try a trainer workout.

roots, what gorgeous scenery!

Flounder, get going on that core work.

I did 7 miles after work on the all too convenient treadmill. I ran for just over an hour feeling extremely energetic. Tomorrow I will get back out on the roads again! I also taught pilates this morning.
