Hope your jog goes well, Alex

A tough 7.6 mile run for me this morning, as I'm recovering from a head cold and the temps and humidity were up. Hope I didn't do too much for my recovering body.

I've got really bad news everyone...Here's the article and I think the other girl was Laura's roommate. I can't even imagine what her and the team are going through right now.

Here

Wow...what a horrendous accident. Not only does it sound like the girls were facing the correct direction, but they were off of the road and on a sidewalk. A terrible tragedy. Not to make light of that, but I did have a good run this morning which covered 14 miles in just a tad under two hours. We had perfect weather here in Missouri (52°F) for a run. Be safe as you hit the streets.

Well, I did my first significant run in over a week. 9.5 miles this morning. Ugh. We'll see if my knee protests later.

Hope you feel better, wanderingoutlaw.

Be careful out there...

Crap. Sorry, Alex. That has to be tough for the woman's family and her teammates/roommate.

Alex, that's really awful.

6.09 miles today in 51:28, kept it easy and enjoyed a nice Fall day - even if the humidity was high.

This morning I taught pilates -- all in a day's work. It was 85 and muggy for my 9.25 after-work run tonight!? I no longer believe fall will come. The run was good anyway. I am really used to heat now. I slowed down slightly the last 3 miles because another woman I know was running on the same path and I decided having someone to talk to was worth slowing the pace a bit more than I usually would.

Alex, that's so sad about your friend's teammate. Just awful. I'm sorry for your friend too -- what a horrible traumatic experience for a college freshman.

I got in 3.08 miles tonight after calling in sick from work today. I think the TB tacos did me in last night. I had not had any in several months and I won't be having any for a long time to come. We'll leave it at that. Felt tired about halfway through and my calves felt a little tight. I forgot to stretch first. I felt good towards the end of the run.

I clicked on the picture in that article to enlarge it. In the street you can see one of her running shoes. I feel nauseated.

4.1 mile run carb depletion run today. I hate running during carb depletion days on marathon week. One more short hard one tomorrow afternoon, then it's pasta time!
