Did a 7.6 mile trail run at 5:30am this morning. I'm not a morning person, but there is something satisfying about watching the moon set over the mountains and the sun rise over the plains while most people are still asleep.

Have another 7.5 or so miles on tap for tonight.

Enjoy your day everyone!
I've become a total weather wimp and I have no idea why or how.

9 miles on the TM this morning. Random or hill programs make it a bit more interesting.

I'm getting the miles in when all is said and done and I'm happy about that.

I know what you mean about the weather. Last winter I would run outside in the dark, and ice without hesitation. This winter alot of my weekday runs have been inside to avoid the dark, and ice. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday though I always run outside because I can wait until the sun comes up a little so I can atleast see the ice and run around it.

The last few weeks my running schedule has been
Mon-core/cross train
Tues-3 on the mill
Wed-3 on the mill
Thurs-core/cross train
Fri-6
Sat-9
Sun-6

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I hate the wind & cold. It kills my sinuses. I do a lot of treadmill running - no apologies for this!

Techgirl - the question is - how do you evening runners do it? When I get home from work in the pm, that's it - I'm spent. the thought of doingmuch more than cooking dinner, doing dishes, and winding down the evening is just too much to bear.

Rugby - I know what you mean about the TM. However it's allowed me to get my runs in lately when I normally woudn't have. For some reason I've become a real weather wimp this year (bad time to do so considering I'm training for my spring marathon). I've found that playing with the incline, running the hill program or selecting random elevation profiles makes it slightly less mind numbing.

Richard - Beer and Burgers - the new Duathlon!

Did 9 yesterday on the - you guessed it - treadmill. Since the ones at the Y stop after an hour, I did an hour with the hill program (level one) then finished 30 minutes random (level 3) not too bad of a run.

Hmm... my wife has a good friend in Milwaukee and a sister in Chicago...so a trip to Wisconsin would probably be a doable trip.

Is this in the southern unit of the Kettle Moraine area? (the part near Madison)
