Morning Kevin. Hope the run goes well

I have a tough (for me) speed session on tap for today. 5x1600 @ 6:43 w/ 800 recoveries. I'm gonna attempt it on the TM... not feeling it today, worked a 12 last night, and will do the same tonight. Hoping that pumpkin pie pop-tart I just ate will give me some juice.

PUMPKIN PIE POPTART?!?!?!? Where did you get those?! We're test market capital here so if they're anywhere they should be here.

Not sure what I'm doing today. Had to pick son1 up at work at 11pm, then he was up at 5am throwing a temper tantrum. Apparently he's forgotten the sin above all sins--disturbing Mom's sleep. Thought about a track workout, but not sure I'm up to that. Plus, it's raining...

Morning all,

Rainy here, too. I could run outside at lunch but why risk any health issues with a marathon coming up in 4 days...so downstairs TM it will be. 4 miles, middle 2 at marathon goal pace.

kevin - have a good 5 later

BBS - I think you need to use your insider connections & ship us all a box of those pumpkin pop-tarts. Good luck with those repeats...that's a tough workout. Make sure you take a proper recovery day from it tomorrow.

4bm - I know you'll get out and do something so good luck with whatever it ends up being.

I went outside and ran at lunch...since the rain had slowed down to a drizzle. 57 degrees, not too bad, probably around race day temps at finish time based on the forecast.

4 miles, with the middle 2 @ MP. I set the Garmin on workout mode and then ran the 2 mile segment on effort, no peeking at the pace. Only afterwards did I learn that very comfortable effort turned out to be 7:16/mile.

My doctor started me back on an anti-depressant yesterday. We couldn't remember if it was Wellbutrin or Lexapro that upset my stomach so took a gamble and went with Wellburtin. Uh, yah, it's the Wellbutrin that upsets my stomach. Luckily I headed out before I started feeling really sick. Just felt bleck and wanted to get the run over. Huh... not bad numbers. 5.66m, 48:17, 8:32pace. So maybe I can throw down some respectable numbers next week.

I got in 5.25 miles today at a 8:31 pace. It felt nice and controlled. Then I got home and took my shoes and socks off to see a big red sore spot on my left foot big toe. It only really hurts when I push on it. Not sure what it is. Hopefully it is nothing and will go away with no problems. Nice job on all of the running today.
