Been reading these every day but thought I'd try to start posting again.

64 minute ride on the compu trainer this a.m. with the hubby unexpectedly joining me for the ride. 85-95 AN intervals for varying time lengths.

40 minute run on schedule for tonight after work since meeting an old friend for lunch instead of running at lunch. Hip/groin thing/strain/whatever seems to be healed so it is just the heat that I need to account for tonight. Going to keep running in my VFFs since I feel lighter and more fluid in my form when using them. Thinking seriously about building mileage in them to use them in AZ in November.

6.5 mile run early this morning including ten charges of a short but steep grassy hill on the backside of a nearby elementary school. Chased a few deer. Got scared by a dog walker. All good.

17 (okay - 16.9) mile commute inbound; street hockey at lunch; probably the long commute home as well - but we'll see how the weather is ... otherwise will cut it short to the 11 miler.

Yesterday - 4 miles out in the heat and I felt great and ran FAST (speed is relative), sub 10:00 pace for the entire stretch. Woohoo!

Today - Dance or pilates, hoping for dance but it appears DH is still sick and may in fact have mono...keep away!

ETA: 60min dance, ahhhhh stretch those legs!

Yesterday- driving 534 miles to retrieve DD from college. Who knew driving, packing a car, driving and then unloading said car would be so draining?

Back at it today with an easy re-entry kind of run. I might try to hit the pool later after dinner!

work has been getting in the way of postings but not workouts. It's marathon week for team training so my tema met at the lake. Given I had a 9am meeting and needed to skip hockey I got there early and did an extra bigger loop of 5+. Then we did the lake so I finished with 9 for the morning. I have to do one more run of 5 to hit my 26.2. Not sure how many others on the team will get to the magic number. During swim week our team did 117 laps, 100 of them were mine. Whatever, you get out what you put in.

Morning bike commute and a lunchtime 3-miler. I'll either have a 16 mile ride after work or a pick up depending on how Little BD feels. He's been under the weather. If he can't play tball tonight, I get a pick-up and coach goes to the game while I hang with the boy.

Basic daily run today. Still not able to breathe as well as I should. Not sure if it's the stuff in the air or if I picked up an illness from someone who was coughing around me a few days ago. I've been coughing up some nasty stuff every few hours, but that's the only time I cough. Today was much better than yesterday though. I had to work for 9 hours after yesterday's run and that was very hard because all I wanted to do was go to sleep for a few hours.

Warm/upper 70s - Sunny and very strong winds. Crawford/Puckett/Security/Kiva/Fontaine/Grinnell/Crawford/Upton/home. Short easy effort run. Kept a slow pace because I'm still a bit tired from yesterday's debacle. Stretching afterward.

I had hoped to fit a workout in today but I didn't make it happen. I'm cooked. DH is out of town for a few days, I spent all day outside helping supervise our school's field day activities, and then watched DS play his last lax game of the season. The cool and comfortable 93 degree temp here in NH was a nice addition to the day.

Now that all organized sports are over for my family for a few months I can start to get back on track! Yay!
