Have fun on the aqua biathlonning TW.

Here are some pics of me finishing the race last weekend. The joy must have come later because that is a look of exhaustion.

Nice pics, rip! You look like you have a couple more miles in you there.

10 mile in moderate rain this morning, 8 at tempo (7:46). Rolled an ankle while trying to avoid a deep puddle, but there doesn't appear to be any damage.

Morning boys. Nice pics RIP.

Nice run Mike and RIP. Watch out for walls Tom.

10 moh this morning avg 7:49 pace. Hit some paces this morning I haven't seen all summer. It was right at 70 degrees when we started with slight breeze.

Went to the lab and did my lung function test. All the lady giving my test told me was that I was breathing shallow (duh?), I'd be better off if I were breathing deeper (duh duh!), and my lung measurements were "good". I hand carried results to my Friday dr appointment as I needed to find the office before hand anyway. So now we wait till Fri afternoon.

We need some ladies in here soon to clear up some of this testosterone!

Good job, rip. You beat The Bat! Mike and ks seem like twins: 10 miles @ 7:46 and 7:49. I don't sustain that pace unless I'm racing.

Even though it was a great day to run outside, I did 5 M on the TM with 3 @ 8:00 pace with 0.5% incline. My HR reached 84% of max in the last mile.

Hi Folks! I don't have a whole lot of 'running speak' to share, but figured since I actually successfully logged in and managed to get into this forum, I better at least say hi! I sure have a heck of time getting into KR these days.

anyhoo - had a nice long Labor Day wknd and now that school has started, we are finally hitting our July/August 100 degree weather. but it's a dry heat, so that is good, right? lol

DS started middle school yesterday. But it was only the 6th graders at his school yesterday, so today is more like the "real" first day of school - where he'll go to all the scheduled class periods, navigate his way around the school with more students present, etc. He started off yesterday saying he knew he would not like middleschool and wishes he was still in elementary, but when we picked him up at the end of the day, he said over and over how much he loved it. He said he especially loves how every class is EXACTLY 54 minutes long and you have EXACTLY 4 minutes in between classes and he loves that he has a locker to keep all his things organized and neat and no one can touch his stuff. yeah, I would say he's just a touch "only child / type A /OCD" tendencies.

managed to get in a couple runs over the long wknd. a 4.2 mile run and a 6 mi run yesterday. even though our days are hot, our night still get pretty cool and the mornings are nice and crisp, so the 6 mi run yesterday really felt good.

Hi Tamster! Greta to see you..... wish I was half as organized as your son.

Nice idea, KS, but at least one or two of us are a more than a bit estrogen-challenged these days and not likely to tip the scales.

Careful with that shooting, TW!

Nice pics, Rip! We tend not to see quite so many running shirtless up here.

Hi FO, Mike, HF, and Johnny!

Gym workout today for the hips, core, glutes and abs, all while the yoga class was going on. Man, that instructor's voice sounded way more drill-sargent that yoga-mellow.

My elite-runner/coworker starts her clinic for the 5K newbies tomorrow...... I'm supposed to be the designated runner, as she's injured.... might be interesting.

Hi all - I'm prob'ly the last one in tonight - 8 mile tempo run on the treadmill.

See Johnny - you are having more good runs than you think you do!

Great runs for KS, FO, Mike, and Rip - inspirational!

I ran on the TM tonight too - despite the nice evening outside - although it would have been dark for the second half of my run - I just wasn't up to running on the roads - one of those days that starts with a headache at 3 a.m. and continues day two of what I think is gastritis again! The run went okay. I alternated 9:50 and 10 mpm every quarter mile for the middle 5, sandwiched by warmup/cooldown miles and a 5-min walk after.
