Bunny Bunny! Or Rabbit Rabbit if you prefer.

Wow, that was incredibly hard to live without the thread for 12 hours!

Actually, I've been very productive this morning- went through all my mail/receipts from the past couple of weeks and had fun using my shredder! I love that thing!

I was up late chatting (ahem!) with the KR's and didn't wake up early to run. I hadn't really planned to, but I'm guessing I needed the sleep. In the final stages of the allergy/cold/sinus thing. I will either run outside later if it's not too humid or at the gym. I have several errands to do, too. Hopefully will be a nice productive day.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekends (except the Canadians. I guess it's just a weekend for you guys! ) Make a good one!

Later skaters............

Apparently there is a pic of me where I'm not looking so fine...but here I am, sporting the "Sexiest Male Runner" prize. Note: The prize was awarded to another runner who loaded the deck by running with his shorts pulled all the way up.

Post race beer....

The fabulous prizes that everyone had been "competing" for....

..............................

Still not running due to left ankle pain. Podiatry appointment next week.

I am absolutely going to Toronto next week to Hash. It's their somewhat annual Lingerie Hash. As if Hashing needs an excuse for lingerie.

I miss being here! I miss you guys!

Afternoon all! Got out for a nice & east 9 miler this morning in gorgeous conditions! Low 70s, low humidity, sunshine and a nice breeze/wind. Twas perfect. Been tooling around the hood, stopped by the Green Market & got some great nectarines and zucchini nut bread along with these very tasty Fig cookies ...think light and crumbly exterior. Anywho, gonna get back outdoors to enjoy some more of this gorgeousness.

Wooo hooo, congrats on that LR, Scratch ...nice stuffs.

Greetings from South Carolina. We crossed the border about 20 minutes ago. Another 2.5 hours to go. Bummed the board was down. I was hoping to catch up on the last few days while we drove.

Now I'm tired & want to take a nap.

Congrats on the new distance Scratch!

Great photos! Glad the award finally got to the proper owner.
Hashing in lingere???? I dunno. Earlier in my running career I went out in lace bootie shorts (with real shorts on top of course) and learned about chaffing in the post run shower. GAH!!!!!
So, uh, be careful in Toronto!

Not much to post. God Daughter is visiting. I can't friggin wait for nap time!

Oh! and i got my foot in a tennis shoe. Hurt, but i got it in. Hoping to go get fitted for new running shoes (someone shoot me) end of the week and get back in the saddle.

Afternoon Gang!

Well, the guy painting the house is here - painting the house. He's decided he's going to paint until he runs out of stain and then take Sun & Mon off. I told him to go ahead and do that.

Anyone wanna come and stack wood with me? It's a pretty day here - good for your arms and back. . .it's only 3 cords right now and once that's done. . .we wait for the next 6 to arrive. . . Ah, what the heck, it'll be a good cool down after my run today.

Doc - good to see you back, 'roo wasn't the only one missin' ya.

Happy days, folks!!

Doc, great to see you! I was just thinking about you today during my run, wondering where you'd been. Oddly enough, I pictured you wearing that thing. Seems odd. I didn't even know you had it then.

Scratch, nice work on the milestone run!

Just got done with 6 miles in 53:07 (8:51/mile). Tried to take it easy. Weather is pretty nice, 76*F and sunny with only about 41 percent humidity. My legs kinda felt like going.

Ran right after playing 18 holes of golf, starting at 7 a.m. Considering I was out on the beers last night, pretty freakin' productive morning. Even got some quick yardwork done, you know, manly stuff like pruning roses and whatnot.

Might be helping someone move a little later.

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

Hidey Ho, Cats and Kittens!

Sure, the one day I finally have time to post and I go and break the thread. I had my post all ready yesterday, submitted it and vamoose! I sure like admin on this site, though. They are not only ON it but their communication is good, too!

DrChris--glad to have you, err..."hanging" around... no fair that the guy who won did so by only by blatant, shameless advertising. I bet the ladies (or men, for that matter) know who's really got the goods and who knows how to use it.

Roo--How's teaching? How's the toe? More importantly, how's the shoe selection?

Mary--Sorry we won't have you on the 15th, but I'm for sure there on the 29th with a group of friends who I will probably need to be driving home. I'm tempted just to say "heck with it" and get them hotel room--may save everyone, including me, some arguing if it's anything like last year.

I "manned it up" for 7 and it went fine, but I really no longer have any training schedule to speak of; I realized in talking to Sage what a frustrating training year this has been for me because things keep getting in my way. I miss long runs of 10-13, insanely enough. Where to go from here? I'm not sure.

Have been moving yard stuff (branches, etc) and did not do well with that. Dumb vertigo--better, just not gone and it shows up especially when I bend over. Where's my sexy yard boy when I need one?

I may go to the MN State Fair. It's tradition here, but I'm really in it not so much for the food, but to see the ponies. It's a mixed bag for me--kinda fun, but huge crowds aren't generally my gig. However, the people watching can be interesting...for the most part you really note how huge we Americans are. Funny to watch, though.

Okay, enough blabbing. I hope you are all well and to racers this weekend, remember: if you can't run fast, run pretty!

Melis - cool! It's a date on the 29th - with cameras!

I was pulling for the 15th, but we've got a commitment to some of the guys on the beer train. Oh what a dilemma. . .which beer event shall we attend?!?!

Hey Doc - how was the Buffalo Beer Fest?! You went to that one, didn't you?

10.5 miles at about 8:12 min/mile pace. I'm in 'hill country' but I went to the flattest place around to run. The Smith Mtn Lake State Park. Still hilly, but at least a little more 'graded' than some of the roads around here.

I ran about 6 miles on the road, then jumped off on the trails for about 2 miles, then about 2.5 back on the roads. My first 5 miles were sub 8 min/mile pace. I eased up on mile 6, then slowed quite a bit on the trail. Overall a good run. Definately a redemption run of sorts compared to last weekend.

Good morning everyone. I tried to put the thread to bed last night, but the forums were closed. I suffered from withdrawals and had to have ice cream.

Doc - Nice to see you.

Wow we are quiet today. I have a poker game tonight and running tomorrow. So no drinking for me at the game.

Greeetings, folks. Yeah, like Beth said, it was tough surviving without the thread for that long! I didn't notice the last time we got hacked, but last night I tried to log in here, but instead saw some wizard and some arabic writing, or something like that. It's amazing how much time some people have on their hands...

Anyway, I'm in CT now, gearing up for the New Haven 20k on Monday. I ran a fairly east 7.5 miles this morning. Actually, my pace was 9:04 which is just about average for me, so I guess it wasn't too east. But I felt good, so that's what counts...

Holy cow, did anyone watch that Michigan-Appalachian State game today?!? Unbelievable!! I first tuned into the game with App St up 21-14 and I figured there's no way this could last. Then when Michigan took the lead with 4 minutes left in the game I figured it was definitely over... Well, shows you what I know. I wonder if Michigan falls all the way from #5 out of the Top 25...

Well, I'm off to a BBQ soon. I hope everybody has a great Labor Day weekend. I'm sure I'll have some BobCam shots from the 20k on Monday...

The chat last night was fun! Should do that more often. Just got back from a shopping trip; bought DH super cool new duds for Vegas next weekend (his friend's bachelor party.) Let's just hope nothing too monumental has to stay in Vegas. Now I'm pooped, but I have to take the pup out for a walk.

I've got 6M on the schedule tomorrow as per my running schedule. I'm curious to see how that goes considering the furthest I've ever run is 5M, and that was this past Thurs. Wish me luck.

I tuned in...uh, lurked...on the chat last night for ~ 5 minutes but the discussion was all about batteries and vibrators and I didn't have anything to add...so, I left. Plus it was bed time for me - way too sleepy to be creatively flirty/nasty.
Scratch - nice work on the LR.
Kini - that's my kind of therapy. Was it a Klondike?
I gotta figure out this hashing thing. Doc, that just looks fun as hell.

I muscled out 16 today and it hurt...really hurt. I now get to taper for my 24.5 total miles in the RTB...that the big man above for tapers!

I stopped at mile 7 and talked to a farmer who lives ~a mile away from my house. He was cutting his hayfields (2nd cut) - I offered to help harvest the bales b/c I haven't done that in ~15 years. I think he though I was nuts, but I'm gonna go do it next summer, 1st cut. Nothin' like hayseed in every orifice of your body. Brings back good memories of my gramps.

Good weekend all. DW and I are heading to Zampa's for dinner.
Cheers
