Good Morning,

Trying to get myself out the door for a short run. Mentally it feels like I haven't run in like a week but I know I ran every day last week. Not sure why I feel this way today. So I figure I will just do a few easy miles.

Later.

I'm feeling kinda icky this morn. *meh* Not sure if it is something I ate, or the new meds I'm on to supposedly help with the microscopic colitis. *meh* It started in at 7pm last night, and continues to annoy me.

I'll give bootcamp a try this morn, but will bail if things don't improve.

The cat woke me up at 4:30 so I finally crawled out of bed at 5 and got ready for work. Shouldn't be too bad today.

No run this morning; I'll probably try at the high school track between 6 and 7 tonight, although temps were still in the 90's at 7 last night.

My family has two very easy to remember birthdays. My sister was born on Dec. 7, and my dad was born on Jun. 6. Today is his 84th birthday.

(There won't be many more. I think he's holding on until my family and I make it out in July, and I'm trying to brace myself for losing him shortly after that. My mom is suffering the curse of being "the healthy one" - and in multiple ways. She's losing her husband of 59 1/2 years and her older (by 10 months) sister at the same time, and she can't do a thing about it.)

(Sorry to burden you all with this, but sometimes you've got to just let it out.)

14 days till summer vacation... Not that I am counting. It was nice today but is supposed to get warm by Thursday.

I will hit boot camp today and then usually take a quick dunk in the lake on the way home -ahhh - very therapeutic!

Have to water the garden and my grass seeds tonight.

I DO love the long, warm days of June!

{{rlemert}} we're here so you can vent {{rlmert}}

My mom and MIL are both 85 yrs old.

I can tell they're slowing down RAPIDLY physically.

And I believe MIL is becoming more frazzled and forgetful and 'loopy' these days.

As for being the "healthy" one:

one of my friends' moms....85, active/golfer/no illness, blah blah....keeled over dead in her livingroom last week, while my friend's father....87 and in advanced state of dementia....sat in his wheelchair staring out the window wondering where his wife was [she was behind him on the floor. dead]

Aging parents. *sigh* I'm not looking forward to the next few years. I will miss my mom more than can be imagined.
