Fun: I am having lunch with a friend. Other than that, pretty quiet day expected.
 
Not fun: I slept crappy again last night. We have been displaced out of our room due to updates and have been sleeping in the basement. It is lovely down there and the bed is supah comfy, just not used to it and the different noises. Gah. Hopefully our room will be finished soon.

Morning ladies and all who follow!
 
My fun today is I am getting my hair cut and highlights done. I can't even remember the last time I had either done! I figured I should get this mop of hair tamed NOW or it will be a long time till I can sneak out for 2hours to myself.

Not-Not-Fun-But-Not-FUN: Writing two essays today for grad school applications. Must. Focus....
Extra Fun: Because I'm off work, I don't have to deal with the Santa Stabber who has somehow discovered our store and now comes in EVERY DAY. :shudder:

Morning all! 
 
Fun: I have breakfast today, in fact probably 2 breakfasts (you know, to make up for yesterday)!!
 
Fun: J and I got out to see our friend's band last night, it's always a rocking good time. Last night was no different + they played 2 new songs. Good stuffs!
 
Fun: I'm getting my teeth whitened tomorrow and am beyond excited to see the results!! Anyone else have this done? It's the Zoom whitening done by your dentist.

Morning peeps.
 
TONS of work to do this week...oy. I'm happy I'm getting into the holiday spirit this year (way more than last year) but I'm also getting holiday head...where I just want to sing carols and drink cocoa and decorate. AKA doing no work. hehe.
 
FUN: bought 1/2 price tix for Boston Baroque's Messiah y'day! next Fri night's performance!
FUN: Dewey Drinks last night was hilarious. Mostly because it was just me and my 3 best librarian friends and they're awesome.
FUN: there is, apparently, a sled decorating contest as part of the all university holiday party and I'm SOOOOOO getting my colleagues to do it with me.

Lori! Yey for pre baby hair cuts! I have an appt on Sat but I think I'm going to cancel...again. I'm really trying to let my hair grow and Anthony will take too much off if I go in now. It's just just just brushing my shoulders in the longest part and I really want to keep the length for now. This is the 3rd time I've resched tho...I'm wondering if he'll even let me come back if I do it again!
 
Missy! I meant to say, yes, Thanksgiving was actually pretty nice. Thanks for asking. And I'm glad you've been able to sneak some extra sleep in from time to time.

So we have snow and cold, but not enough to be pretty yet.

Well, you all know how I *LOVE* to name people....
 
But in this case, it's kinda true. There is this (most likely) homeless guy who very obviously needs to be medicated/is sporadically medicated for what appears to be schizophrenia. i.e. he roams all over town, sometimes talking/laughing to himself, but sometimes just ominously quiet. He has been walking through the hotel for years, but lately is here ALL THE TIME. And now, he's discovered our store. He has a full white beard (well, not *white*, more dirty white) and white hair just like Santa, but like Santa would be if he were derelict and crazy. Like, Bad Santa but seriously deranged. 
 
This guy looks like he's moments away from pulling out a knife and stabbing someone. Seriously. I'm not usually afraid of crazy people, but he brings crazy to a whole new level. :shudder:

Fun: one of my coworkers used to be a preschool teacher and she loves decorating our offices for things. She already had some holiday decorations up and today has people decorating little mini stockings to be part of a display (she made a fireplace on the wall using construction paper). So I decorated one with my name and snowflakes using glitter glue.
 
Not fun: our office building has no heat, a problem that apparently began yesterday. I am not amused.

Hi, all! Quick fly-by. Today is my last undergrad class for the semester where I'm actually trying to teach something, so yeah for that. Too bad there's still tons to do. Hugs and kisses to all who need/want them. When the semester dies down, I'll try to come back more frequently.
