Reminder that the scoring starts this Friday, April 27. Stay tuned here for further details.

Keep in mind that we migrate to the new Kickrunner website on Saturday. In case we hiccup, be prepared to re-enter your workouts at the new thread after the migration is complete. I don't anticipate problems, but its good to be prepared.

For those of you new to the game, welcome. Sorry there are not a lot of instructions posted yet, but gameplay is simple: Do your daily workout, then come here to enter your points. That's it.

There will some minor scoring adjustments:

- Road cycling will be adjusted for a more equitable score, compared to stationary cycling in the general cardio category.

- For increased enjoyment for all, an individual point cap will be established. This rule effects only a few players.

- Although I considered increasing swim points, we'll observe one more round as is. All other scoring remains the same.

On Friday, the teams will be announced. I'm aiming for teams of 12-15.

And oh, I almost forgot. The race begins in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Hopefully Diablita is not off conquering the world and will have us over for a cool beverage!

Proposed point changes:

Point cap regarding the Running/Walking category: Per week, the first 80 miles scored at normal weight. All miles above 80 to be scored at 1/2 points.

so...my swimming and biking are NOT capped, right? No way I'm EVER reaching 80 running miles in a week...this triathlete is too tired to ever do that...

Dang - That one hurt and my road bike just bit the dust so I can not suppliment with biking or I would add a couple hundred miles a week of biking to make up for that handicap

Point cap - I would guess I am one of the few players that that is targeted at

Could we have details before we begin ?

If you would rather - I could just pull out of the VRAA - What was so fun about last time for me - It motivated me to do so much more than I had been doing and I even added core work - I hate core work. It got my ass out of nuetral and got me moving again.

I do not mean that badly - I would love to participate again - but I am who I am

You won't be needing that with me this time around, but next time... I'm following in Mikey's footsteps.

No! Do not pull out of the game. We want you to play.

We do, however, wish to make the conditions of the VRAA where every team has a chance.

To clarify, for the Running/Walking category its going to be:

First 80mi per week @ full points (4pts per mile), and
All miles above 80 per week @ 1/2 price (2pts per mile)

So, if you run 100mi in a week, you will get
80x4= 320
20x2= 40
360 total

Knock yourself out within the other categories.

Just trying to employ a way to keep the play somewhat fair and even. for the majority of players, most do not even come close to 50 mpw.

Thanks for being a good sport and playing along.

No problems here - just needed to know the rules

I appreciate that I can still earn points for my team after 80 - It will still motivate me to do 1 more mile each day.

Let the games begin -
