Ok, we need to decide on an official beer to toast Thor's Stag Run. Please vote and if you vote for the write-in choice please let us know in your post! Something either local to the Boston area or available nationally is preferred so that the star of the show can be sure to imbibe at least one with the rest of us!

Sam Adams - But their are better choices than Boston Lager

But there are a lot of good other suggestions

Its making me very thirsty - What do I look like a camel over here - Poor me a tall cool one before I die of thirst!
Ha! Wait....are you guys already drinkin'?
Well darn. I don't drink. Does my Succeed Amino count? It's not quite red but it is pink!
I saw this but being unsure of what the heck it was I opted for Sam's White Ale because it's Boston.
Jim Koch is beoming Phil Knght

Swoosh!
Hmmm, some nice entries!

I'd like to suggest the following two from Four Peaks Brewery:

Hop Knot IPA (my personal year round favorite!)
Oatmeal Stout (my wife's favorite!)

http://www.fourpeaks.com/default.asp
What a bunch of beer snobs.

OK, so I am from Spokane Washington. A little bit of a ******* town. Schlitz, Hamms, and yes, Budweiser all favorites during highschool drinking parties. I can't stand heavy, hoppy beer. Coors Light on a hot day? Nothing better!!! And my new favorite is Blue Moon so at least I advanced a little.

Thor? Can someone with such unrefined tastes as myself still toast you with a "god forbid" Coors Light?
I was trying for Three Floyds Brian Boru Old Irish Red as it has some excellent write-ups, but alas I was unable to locate a couple of bottles. So instead of Munster, IN I turned my eyes across the mighty Lake Michigan towards New Holland Brewing's Red Tulip. It's an amber, but I like the lighter beers. While at the store, I also picked up a six-pack of Capital Brewery's Island Wheat, continuing my exploration of the excellent Madison beer scene. I will sample some of these beverages tonight and get back with report.

Oh my God am I eXcItEd. Wow... Just an hour away.

And of course, Kristine, you can drink whatever you enjoy most, because the only thing that matters is that we, as a team, bond together in fun and joy and stomp a little pavement or, in another form, power that body forward. Bud, scud, or some chunky chocolate beer, it's the people like you, knowing that when I raise my glass here in Boston toward Seattle area you will be on the other end feeling the love.
Thor!

Just FYI, DH and I are doing a race together today, 2:30 Seattle time. His first race ever! I am so excited. 1mile run, 11.5 bike, 1 mile run. I will be wearing my WWTD band today and thinking about your booze fest today, and mostly thinking about how far DH has come, to this point, doing a race, and being excited about it.

After the race, no matter how good/bad we do, we will have that beer together and I'll tell DH about the toasting and we will click our beer bottles to together and hope your upcoming marriage is as good as ours!
At least have a Kiltlifter for me....
