Hello all:

The time is near to organize for the next round of the VRAA. We intend to begin soon after the new year. I anticipate a record number of participants and I will need assistants.

To that end, I am asking for volunteers again. If you are interested in one of the following positions, please let me know by posting here, or via PM to me:

- Team captains: The bread-and-butter of our volunteer corps. Similar to last round, captains have the responsibility to tally team scoring and report results to the Commissioner.

- Creative writer/ leaderboard reporter: I'm looking for 1-2 reporters to deliver a once-per-week article of VRAA happenings as it pertains to scoring, accomplishments, and reporting of the leaderboard. There is latitude for creativity and it is a goal to include as many people as possible in your weekly report. Ideally, this position will provide their report/update on the same day every week.

- Scoring/Data manager: This position will take the existing scoring format (currently in MS excel) and design a database that fits the needs of the VRAA. The current format is simple input of one variable per day, per person. This candidate will be able to design multiple output reports to support the commissioner and leaderboard reporters.

- Commissioner-in-training: This candidate has played in the VRAA for multiple rounds and is interested in leading one or more future rounds of the game. I will take nominations from those who have already, or presently are, volunteered for the VRAA.

- Travel committee: I'm looking for anyone who is interested in working aside the commissioner on the VRAA route. The idea is to create a map, with waypoints along the route, for participants to follow along their teams' progress. In early VRAA rounds, we had different participants "host" their respective home city as the VRAA came rolling through.

If you are interested in getting involved with the VRAA, please let me know. We're going to get started again soon.

Sincerely,
