Hi Kicksters!

I have a VO2max test scheduled for 6am on Thursday morning. What am I in for and how much is it going to suck?

I am going to have to constantly remind myself that I can't have any caffeine tomorrow....

When I had one, the a second guy stood behind the treadmill to catch me if I collapsed. :) The mask you wear makes you feel like Darth Vader.

After the warm up, they increased the incline every minute until you can't keep up anymore. Then you get your max HR and VO2 max.

It's tough, but the hard part doesn't last too long. The mask is a pain the arse but pretty soon you're more worried about getting oxygen in and C02 out.

Have fun, it's useful info!

Thanks for the feedback. I can't believe that I am actually nervous about the test. But, I am chomping at the bit to get back to my routine...meaning morning coffee and noon Diet Pepsi
