I don't remember Bonnie talking about tapering, but I'm showing that Ironman Canada is this coming Sunday. So, let's break out the pledge miles for SillySally and slow-n-steady! If I were a little more caught up on work and life, I'd try to head up there and do some catching. (Not in the cards this year. :( )

Can't wait to cheer you two on come race day!

She talked about it, the same way she always does (e.g. "hm, I guess I should taper for this IRONMAN race...right after I TRAIN for it!!!").

Good luck, Bonnie! You can certainly have my 25 miles of hill riding and 8 miles of hill running, you deserve that and then some!!

about the only thing I will pledge is lots of swearing, sweating, and rough physical activity as we are rebuilding the porch this weekend. I hope it goes smoothly. I'm not sure what else i'll get in, but may try to get in a ride on Sat.

I am mtn. bike riding and running this weekend. Probably around 16 miles of riding (it's on a flat trail heading up the pass) and 5 miles of running. I have a wedding to go to as well... so I'll pledge some rum punch!

I can't pledge a workout, so I pledged a donation for Operation Triumph instead. If anyone needs the link and doesn't have it, let me know.

I am doing a swim race this weekend, so I can pledge 1 mile of swimming. Also will run, and between Saturday and Sunday, will probably run around 20 miles. Not sure about biking....

Hey everyone, I'm alive! I've had 8 weeks "training" and 3 weeks "taper" ... hehehe. Not quite ready, but another Ironman said to me recently, "Ironman is 90% in the mind" ... yeah, but he trains a heck of a lot more than I do!

Okay, gotta dash off for a quick swim ... and I still have to pack! Will write something more when I get back, sorry I've been so absent. Thanks to everyone for your miles ... I'll need them to get me through the race.

I'm looking forward to meeting Slow'n'Steady!
