<p>  While there is this whole "presumption of innocence until proven guilty" thing, I don't think it's relevant in this case. If she honestly feels she was telling the truth at the time then she has nothing to apologize for now. In fact, one could argue that there is just as strong a case for asking her husband to apologize to Anita Hill for his actions.</p>

<p>Yeah, I guess I was thinging 19 years later is a heck of a time to bring it back up.  If she was telling the truth, then it must a been an insulting phone message.  If she wasn't, I doubt a phone call 19 years later will get her to recant.</p>

<p>I remember the Thomas/Hill hearing (Senate?).  I was always impressed with Anita's composure and the grilling she withstood.  I would love to be a student of hers at Brandeis.</p>

<p>I was in my late 30's at the time but remember the hearings well.  More or less I just think Ms. Thomas was just having a flash point for some reason.  I never had a firm opinion one way or the other as to Anita Hill's accusations. </p>

<p>More likely, Ma Thomas is just looking for a way to get her "patriot group" a little more ink.  She ain't as good-looking as Palin, so she has to try a little harder to get into the news.</p>

<p>If there ever was a more nothing Supreme Court Justice than Thomas I'd need to be convinced. He's not good, he's not bad....he's just totally pointless. Scalia could just get a second vote and it wouldn't make one iota of difference.</p>

<p>So Clarence's ex girlfriend comes out saying that the ol' boy was a horn-dog going way back.  Apparently, he was "....obcessed with porn...."  She was the current girlfriend at the time of the confirmation hearings - but the Senate never called her in.  Yeah, she has a book coming out and I'm sure that his apologists will drag that up to discredit her - but the man's horny enough to be a catholic priest.</p>
