Good day Kicksters!

I know it has been a long time since I posted here. I just don't have access to the KR site like I use to at work. The site is blocked. I tried using my smart phone to post and read but it just isn't the same and since it was much more difficult to read all the posts and stay on top of everyone I just stopped posting. enough excuses. I do miss posting on here and reading up on everyones accomplishments.

Me - I have been running sparadically, no plans, no races, just running and racing on the spur of the moment. i was thinking of running a HM tomorrow but my DS has state soccer tournament this weekend so that is out. Since I have no plan, I may head out for a nice long run this morning before heading to the soccer tournament (4 hr drive). My long run will end whenever I feel as though I am done running. It could be anywhere from 6 - 12 miles. Again, no plans, no races, just running as I feel like it.

Love you guys.

8 mile run for me this morning. I decided when I came to the water fountain at just over 4 miles it was time to turnaround and head back. I had a great run with each mile getting progressively faster than the previous. My splits were 7:56, 7:35, 7:30, 7:19, 7:11, 7:00, 6:45, 6:38, with an average pace of 7:14.

Happy training everyone.

Nice run & paces this morning, Dave. Sounds like you're enjoying that well-deserved Veteran's Day off.

Super easy run for me last night on the home TM, 5 miles at recovery pace, followed by a half hour of core stuff. Only 9 days to Philly now.

Today - it's chilly and super-windy here, so some indoor cycling, 30-45 minutes (either spin or stationary on my own) then maybe I'll throw in a mile of easy jogging for a tiny little brick. Tomorrow will be the last run of any substantive mileage, 10 miles.

Have a great day out there. TGIF!

Ah yes, Scorpions. Though that's almost as old as Eye of the Tiger. Definitely cooler though.

Hi, all. Happy Veterans Day to everyone. And a special "Thank You" to Ironman Dave Boyer.

Hawk -- Tick tock. Winding down! Good job.

RA -- Tell your boss you're going for a run, and you'll be back about 4:30, if you feel like it.

Me -- Travel and work's been kicking my rear, and I strained my calf during yesterday's GA run. WTH? Dealing with a bit of weight gain and general malaise. Will hit the pool here in a bit.

Still not feeling it. Totally physically, emotionally and spiritually drained. Managed to drag my sorry butt out for a mid-day slog. Manged to knock out 4. Pretty wimpy, considering a month ago I ran a 'thon.

David--good to see you! I enjoy your (very rare) updates on FB.

Hawk--enjoy the taper.

Asics--hope you got that run in!

chances--enjoy the spishing and splashing.

Dan--what kind of numbers are you hitting these days? Back where you want to be?

Hope you get your spirit back soon! No, I'm taking it very slow. I'm just glad to be out there again. Just running for time now and will go to miles when I hit about an hour. Still at 4 days rather than 5. My plan is to slowly build my base back to about 30 miles a week over winter and, if all is well, maybe, just maybe train for a fall 2012 marathon. I turn 65 this Jan and want to do one for that birthday year.
