No, no, Econo. Your idea is terrific, but we cannot mix in the great photos with the dreadful photos. What a mess. Inevitably they will mix and become a grey pool.

Now freshly reposted to get things started off on the right foot!

From Econo...

OK, here I am in non-monster mode:

That's a Mile 20 hug from 2 handsome guys (Caddisfli and The Pro!).

And this is me in my little office:

Yes, Econo, that photo belongs here, not in the other thread.

Here are my two favorite race photos.

My mom and me, before she walked her first 5K. This is a big deal for her because her knees really give her fits. I think I told her a corny joke just before this was taken.

Near the end of my last 10-miler, about to set a huge PR and erase the memory of my disastrous 10-miler three months earlier. Taken just after the photo on the dreadful thread.

I'm really looking forward to this thread.

Runner of the Millbot, your Mom is charming! Love the photos so far!

Here is Lilmissrosie looking good in the foreground. Mamaruns is looking happy to the left of us. And, uh, Ralphie and yours truly.

Here is a good one from Omaha 2005 (We don't have many good ones from Omaha, do we, econo?)

Nice photos of everyone but not nearly as much fun as the Dreadful Thread. I hope these aren't so big this time.

You've all seen this one but it's the best race photo I have. It was taken at the Bizz Johnson HM in Susanville, CA in Oct 2007.

This one was taken in a local park where hubby and I went exploring a little

Me and a running friend before the MT HM in Sept 2007. I'm on the left.

Hey Millbot, no fair posting a picture of your 21 year old son

I have absolutely no good pictures of me running. Sorry. Small children flee in horror as they see me approaching, sounding like a dying water buffalo and looking like a fat waddling turtle with a face so red that it looks purple. It's very sad. No one will ever, in a million years, use my picture on the cover of Runners World. Sigh.

If I do run the Turkey Trot, I'll ask hubby to take a pic of me but I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that it'll end up in my private folder of dreadful Susan pictures, never to be seen by outside eyes. You know the type of folder -- the one where all the pictures have eyes squinted shut, faces in horrible grimaces, fat folds highly visible around the waistline, streaky makeup, awkward angles suggesting advanced pregnancy, strangely inappropriate cleavage, veiny legs, bat-wing upper arms, hair in maximal disarray (sp), spotlighted cellulite, etc. They're usually so scary that strangers can't believe these people have the courage to be out in the public eye.

Usually these pictures are taken when I'm standing next to someone else who looks perfect. This is the reason why I never stand next to my sister or sister-in-law during photo sessions. My sister is a "frontally enhanced" little petite thing who weighs about 95 lbs (no kidding) and runs HMs despite having remitting MS. My sil was a former Miss Long Island and still looks absolutely fantastic, with about 2% body fat. She eats almost no carbs at all even though she's Italian/Irish. And then you get me, the tall "womanly" water buffallo next to them, well it's like taking a normal looking person and photographing them next to Gisele Bundchen. Very sad.

Luckily DH is blind as a bat with his glasses off and thinks he's the luckiest guy in the world to have such a great looking trophy wife, hahaha. First wife looked like a troll so at least I'm a step up for him (in almost every way).

Not my best racing photo (nor my worst... ), but my favorite because it was the last mile of a HM and I was passing runners like crazy and they got a pic of it. Eat my dust...

One of favorites, taken by the DH, and small enough its hard to make out too many details...that is always helpful in my case.

Susan, I wonder how you would react if a close friend posted your post (above). They'd probably tell you you're amazing, running as you do, and you look fit and fantastic. You are way too hard on yourself.

It's hard to post with the Beauty Queens above -- durn you Econo, choovie, Tammy, Ilene, Rosie, Mrs. Billmot, Labduck (heh)! And you handsome dudes too. Mill, that's a terrific picture of you.

While I may look like an Old Boot, capable of ghastly murderous acts like putting children's furry pets through a shredder (the prescription inserts on my glasses give me that wacko look), when I'm on a trail run, I feel like a gazillion dollars. The Great Outdoors has a way of doing that to you.

I'm grinning like an idiot, not because I'm aware of the camera, but because I'm about to run into a big MUD pit. Now, that's a gorgeous thing. Find the beauty in what you're doing and how you feel.

(I really need to get back running soon. This sounds preachy. Sorry.)

I wash up okay, albeit with a toothy grin.

Those are great pics of you Souci!! I love the dress up one . . . and that dress up one from Portland not too long ago too. That's another great pic. Your running pics are good too Souci - you exemplify grit, determination and an extremely well-toned runners body whenever I see running pics of you.
