<p>They are not swarming in the attic or living in the exhaust fan. He has not a clue how they're getting in the bathroom. Gak.</p>

<p>I still think they are coming from exhaust fan.</p>

<p>Anyhoo-he wants to charge me $225 to pressure wash my house and decks. He said there was also a few paper nests developing on the eves or something.</p>

<p>Anyhoo-he also mentioned some chemicals he was going to use to prevent them from coming back. Well...I started to get irritated w/him when he refused to write down the chemical names. For all I know it can be the "scientific name" of whatever's in the RAID can.</p>

<p>With that said, I have trouble trusting some "good old southern boys." (Am I offending anyone? Bobby-you bought a hammock for my bananas so you're not included in my blanket statement!) I don't think Mel Gibson offended the southern boys yet.</p>

<p>So...I'm thinking of buying my own dang pressure washer and doing the job myself. Well...my hubby I mean since I have to carry an epi pen for stings</p>

<p>Get some RAID.  Get rid of the nests.  Make sure you do it in the evening or morning when they aren't as active.  Maybe spray the vent inside and out?</p>

<p>Seriously, though - I have no good advice.  I know my parents' have occasional wasp nests start up on the eaves outside, but those are outside and they just use their garden hose to blast those off pretty easily.  The fact that they're getting in the house though suggests a more sticky situation.</p>

<p>Can't you get a couple more estimates for comparison's sake, and maybe one of those people will be able to figure out why/how they're getting inside?</p>

<p>i might go with an exterminator before I shelled out for a pressure washer.  the issue isn't how clean the exterior of your house is....</p>

<p>is there an attic where the nest might be?  or can you get to where the exhaust fan exits and see if there is a nest there?</p>

<p>at the very least I would call someone else before I gave this guy any money of anything.</p>

<p>Set up fake nests - you can buy them at Home Depot or make them from paper bags - the wasps won't hang around if they think that there's competition.</p>

<p>I think they are coming into the window itself. I saw a wasp fly into the corner. I'm waiting for its entrance.</p>

<p>The attic was checked-nothing. No nest. No swarming.</p>

<p>I am going to call a few pro companies to ask what they think tomorrow morning. If my ladder reaches, I'll buy PH a case of bud light to caulk up that exterior window. PH? ...</p>

<p>We have red wasps in the house from time to time without a clue about point of entry, but it's always one at a time and we exterminate them ourselves. Good luck.</p>

<p>   I contacted them about the giant ant hills in my yard and they were able to reccomend how to proceed and what to use. <br><br>
 You want  me to check with them on this?   </p>

<p>On my mom's most recent trip down over the 4th of July, she mentioned that she didn't see the fire ant mounds that she's seen during other trips.</p>

<p>Once she mentioned it, I noticed it too.</p>
<p>You used to see them along the road, you can spot them even when driving.......</p>
<p>Except now.</p>
<p>I asked a friend, she realized that she doesn't have any either.</p>

<p>Anyone have an idea as to why they might be gone?</p>
