(For the previous thread, see above.)

We dropped the bike off at the local bike shop to be packed for us. Fortunately, the post office is only half a block from the bike shop. I paid $38 for the packing and then schlepped the box to the post office, my 3 year old holding on to my purse in the parking lot and across the street. The post office hauled it onto their scale, measured it, and said it was too big to mail. So schlepped it back to my car and crammed it in above the seats.

I just sent the young woman a message that said it is too big to mail, and I don't have the time or ability to take it out to fed-ex. I told her that it would be great if someone else she knows in Nashville could come and get it.

She sent back a sorry and said she's going to get in touch with someone who is supposed to be driving to where she is, and might be able to take the bike with them.

I want to scream. I was really trying to avoid sharing my negativity with her. There's not point in both of us feeling yucky about it. But I can't take it anymore.

I even thought about buying the bike from her. It fits me and I don't have one. Buts she's asking more than I think the bike is worth.
