He cleared me to run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My foot is by no means pain-free and the fascia is full of knots/adhesions, but it is considerably improved in terms of pain level and frequency. He said I can start adding back easy running to tolerance as long as I keep up the PT strengthening & stretching exercises, take ibuprofein as needed, and ice after running.

I'm a little nervous about how running will feel and reinjuring it, but very excited to run again!

Yay!

Not that I need tell you, but take it day-by-day and see how it does.

I have my fingers crossed for you that with a few weeks of smart progression that you will be back to regular running sooner and not later.

Great news.

Thanks you two! Woo hoo!

I am waiting to hear from my coach about how she suggests I start back.

I may also go in for some ART to work on the fascia, but don't want to overdo the manipulation (PT also includes friction massage).

Do not tempt me!

With a month of reduced volume & cross-training, plus a foot that's not 100% yet, realistically it will probably be a while yet.

[not going to hijack your thread]

It's going Last week, I was feeling better AND my team started training for our ultra in December, so I thought I would try running because I didn't want to get behind. Yeah, that was dumb of me! So now I am back to low-to-no impact activities. Hopefully in a couple more weeks, I will be ready to go again...*crossing fingers and toes*

YAY SGH!!!!

I haven't popped in here for a while and I'm trying to catch up. Great to read your good news!

I hope you'll give the ART a try, I'd recommend it over PT for any injury (so would PJ, I think!).
