Actually it took me an extra hour this morning to wake up.

Happyfeat, This morning I had a custard longjohn with maple frosting. Yesterday I was eating my way through a strawberry cream cheese pudding cake while loading the shingles.

I have a raspberry fritter waiting for me when I get back from my run.

Back from my run. Seems the edit isn't working now.

Started slow the first 3 and then finally got moving. Little worn down from all the lifting I have been doing.

8.21 miles in 60:00 starting at 8:20 pace and working down to 6:40 pace.

Changed my mind about the raspberry fritter. A big slice of pizza is calling my name.

Morning Rip and those to follow. Sounds like a good eating plan to me. Nice run.

Just got in from jury summons. Didn't get picked. Hope to run tonight. Feeling oxygenially (new word) better than yesterday so hopefully my run will go ok save for the heat.

You're one of a kind, Rip! I never would have thought that kind of diet could fuel the work you do - it seems unbelievable.

Quite a good run for you today, considering your workload.

Hi Mike - nice feel-good run for you as well.

Hmmmm... my easy pace and HF's are quite similar. Mike, that'd have been a tempo for me.

Hi KS, Rip, HF and Mike!

5 slow miles with lots of stops in the woods this morning. One stretch had spikes of blue lobelia along the path mixed with ostrich ferns...had to walk and enjoy..... just gorgeous! Spent the afternoon cleaning my corner of the garage (the gardening supplies). Took a bunch of extra plant pots to the recycling centre at my favourite nursery.... over 500 pots....don't want to think about what that means in terms of what I've spent on plants in the last 12 years.

10.5 miles this evening. first half at 8:30 pace and second half at 8 min pace with a couple 7:30 miles in the middle. Pretty happy with that considering the heat.

The lovely and gracious dw will be home in a couple days!!
