PT is so wordy!! :) Thanks for starting us toototwoday

I too ran 6 miles this morning.

My youth ministers' father had what we thought was a heart attack last night. Turns out it is not a heart attack but something they need to correct. This morning after returning from the hospital I was notified that a driver had fatally run over someone at the high school. My first thought was a student driving too fast and running over another student. Turns out a mother after dropping off her child lost control, crossed the road, hit a fire hydrant, ran over a 20 something year old male "jogger" and hit a pole or tree to stop. Had she not stopped she would have run thru the h.s. marching band. Many of our church kids witnessed this and they report the joggers legs were severed.

I'll need to run some more tonight as my heart is broken today.

I'll bet Heme can find plenty to do and sounds like she might have a plan already. I would never come home and just tell my wife I was going away with out her permission or discussion.

The jogger was in his late 20's, ran xc for our high school, married, a father, a war vet, and part time fireman and grocery employee. Pics of the car on the newspaper webpage are as bad as I've seen. He did not have a chance to survive; he was killed instantly they report.

It's 101 degrees but suppose to be down to ........................93 tonight when we go for a bike ride and run.

Johnny - hate you have to wait another month to see the foot vet. Probably be healed by then.

Let's be careful out there. I'm in traffic often during my runs so I regularly count on the good driving habits of my fellow road warriors. But stuff happens.

8 miles ez-to-mp today. 8:31 pace avg. I'm still not fully recovered from the w/e LR, but close.

Heme, looks like you will have time for some nice runs now. KS, so tragic it puts one in mind to be extra careful out there. Tonight I have one mile planned with my youngest, then I will keep going until the heat makes me stop.

No running for me today. Maybe I'll take tomorrow off too--my knee is feeling the effects of my gnarly trail run.

ks, that's so tragic and random. Sometimes death can remind us to appreciate life and each other more.
