Yesterday I volunteered as a course monitor (traffic safety) at the City of Oaks Marathon/Half Marathon in Raleigh. My station was about a quarter-mile past the 24/11 mile mark in the races, so I took advantage of the location.

     REST AREA

     TWO MILES

         AHEAD

I'm so using that for the Marathon of the Palm Beaches. Except I'll be 7 miles from the finish. The course runs right past my house.
