Lots of 2's today. So I'll run 2 X's today. 7 ez miles this morning, breezy, overcast, humid, 68 degrees. Typical CC weather.

Ready for this weekend Mike.

Hiya Happyfeet - I ran the Portland marathon 2 years ago and spent the week touring OR and WA. I see you're from up there.

Hiya JJVoo

OM - yak on yak off reminds me of that cheesy movie. Stop that.

Poolrunning TW?

It'd be ok if Jeb and McS and others showed up once in a while, eh?

tw's late....

Hiya KS! Thanks for getting us started. And you're an hour behind the right coast.

Yes, I'm getting into the visualization mode now ahead of this w/e. Should be interesting. 4 miles recovery pace today - just under 9 m/m on the TM. (7F outside this morning!)

I don't like running in snow with or w/o yaks. The slippage seems to bother my AT.

Sorry to hear about the owies, Opie. Be careful how you proceed.

Mike

Hi KS! Hi Mike!

I'll second that!!

No running for me today... just an hour in the gym for core/abs/hips/etc.

Have a great day!

Hi early risers. I was on the treadmill at 8:30 this morning. 20 minute warmup, 17 X :30 with :90 recovery, 2 X 1:00 with a little more recovery to finish my hour. Ended up with 7.91 miles at 3% incline. Started the fast parts at 5:52 pace and worked my way down to the 5:40s. Last fast 1:00 at 5:30 pace. Easy pace is on schedule for the next 3 days.

Mike, thanks for the concern. When my Morton's toe bothered me before, it seemed like a more gradual problem. It hurt like hell this morning. I've got a call into Brooke but I think it's safe to say no running for a few days. I'll swim today or tomorrow, probably tomorrow.

OM, I have a yoga question. I wasn't able to make it to class yesterday, and I almost always go to that class at lunchtime so I'm usually more flexible when I run on Monday. Could the lack of flexibility be a factor? Also, Monday is usually an easy day for me but we switched it around this week so it was a more challenging run. And should I go to class tonight?

...OK, that's SCARY//.........yep poolrunning today

how'd ya guess??

easy does it karl,

you're running too good to screw up with a bum toe

Hi all...rest day yesterday (from running), which meant I had to work all day in 6"-12" of snow, not really fun & takes twice as long to get anything done (pretty tough when you bid the job)

A "rip" like one hour TM run at the gym today, except with half the grade & 80% of the milage, followed by some upper body weights and day 1 of increasing strength in the left leg. Will be running at the gym a lot in the immediate future.

Third or 4th the labduck, mcsolar sentiments and a whole lot more MIA folk to boot.....SS...choovie......milbot.....WJ....the list goes on and on.

(((Opie)))

Opie, if you're up to it, sure, you can go to class tonight. Running and yoga use the feet differently. As to a direct correlation between your toe issue and missing class, who knows? What about the days that you don't do yoga but do run? More questions than answers, heh....

Looks like today has turned out to be a complete rest day for me. Had a funeral this morning, and my intent was to go to the gym in the afternoon to use the elliptical. But I guess this morning's experience took the wind out of the sails for me, coupled with this burgeoning cold I've had for close to a week, so I just bagged it all and got a pedicure instead.

Sounds like a really good idea, Esther!

I should have done likewise....... got in early to go to the gym and as I pulled into my parking space, I remembered that I left my laptop at home..... a 1/ to 1hr drive away (depending on traffic). First time I've done that.... and hopefully the last. Didn't set a good tone for the rest of the day.

Take care of yourself, girl!

Yoga was awesome. It was a new class for me, but the teacher is moving to Kansas City, so this is her last class. It was a little unsettling at first because she looked just like Dove but with short hair.
