<p>They should have let it die when they fired Charlie Sheen. I finally sat down last night and watched the new version. I couldn't even make it through the entire episode. </p>

<p>Nothing against Ashton Kucher but what made the show work was Charlies character; his total lack of regard for his brother and his life style.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Charlie may be an 'idiot' in his own life - but his job is to 'act' - they should have let him....</p>

<p>Does anyone who liked the old version like the new?</p>

<p>I thought it was allright, nothing spectacular.   Anytime a major actor or actress is written out of a script it may take a few episodes to work out the kinks.  We have to accept Ashton's character will not be quite the same as Charlie Sheen's, just as Jay Leno was not the same as Johnny Carson.  It took a little while for Leno's style to grow on us.  I'll give Three and a half men a few more episodes before making a decision one way or the other.  Although I doubt the producers will be asking me for my 3 cents worth of opinion.</p>

<p>I never got into the original version of it but I have watched parts of episodes in re-runs and I thought it was pretty good.  I did not catch the first episode with Ashton.  I have it on DVR.  Mrs. Boiler watched it and said it was okay.  I forgot to tape Monday's episode so I am already behind.  Unless it comes out on Hulu.  Anyway.  I might give it a try if I get tired of Terra Nova.  Granted I only watched teh first hour of that.</p>

<p>we only watched reruns of the show, so have not seen the new one but i hate ashton kucher. they should have kept sheen, because yes, his job is to act and he does it well, or killed the show. i have not seen the newest office episode, but not having michael on the show is going to be a big adjustment too.</p>
