How many 30's are running in the marathon? The 10 miler? Anyone planning on going to simply to cheer on any fellow 30's besides me?

Count me in - pacing the 3:10 group. I'm looking forward to it as my fellow pacers raved about how pretty the course is (I did St. George last year - two great marathons in one weekend!!)

I'm not, but a lot of people in my running group are. About a dozen, maybe more. One of our members moved to the Twin Cities this past spring so they are going up to visit.

I wish I could go back for another one, but not enough $$$ and vacation time to do all the races I would like to do.

Pacer: Enjoy the course, I really liked the view, around the lakes was my favorite. By the river it pretty, but hillier that I would like. Summit Ave same thing.

I'll be running this marathon. Goal is to run 3:15. PacerChris, I didn't know you were taking the 3:10 group at TC! How much time are you going to bank before the uphill climb begins around mile 20/21? Man I wish I could hang with the 3:10 group, but I doubt I can get to that point.

Usually I try to bank 60 seconds by mile 21 or so, but I have heard about this course and the late hills so I might bump that up to 90 seconds or so so we can take it easy up the hills. I'll have to talk to the other pacers that have run TC before and get their perspective.

Too bad we don't have a 3:15 group - it kinda stinks to be caught between groups like that. Try running a few miles with the 3:20 group (like 2-4) and then taking off...you won't be too far behind your goal time and you'll have a few easy miles under your belt. Much better than starting out too fast!

I apologize for butting in to the 30s (I'm in my 40s), but I'm running TCM and shooting for 3:10, and I've given some thought to running with the pace group. Cool that PacerChris will be leading it!

I will be running the 10 mile. Still no word yet on the course change due to the bridge collapse. Would be nice of them to take out the big hill before the Franklin bridge crossing into Saint Paul. Good luck to all running that day.

And I have crayons. For signs. I'm not afraid to embarrass people, either.
