Good Morning,

Trying to get my brain and body moving this morning and it isn't working. Thank goodness today is not a running day.

Just work and then take DS to flag football practice tonight for me.

Have a good one!

C&H....good one...

Eric,
How's the heel been doing lately?
My PF is under control; but I have to be sure to treat my feet with lovin' and stretchin' to keep them (somewhat) happy.

Morning. Got another run in last night. A bit longer, a bit faster. I think the leg is on the mend.

Had one student absent yesterday. Just one. What a WORLD of a difference in the classroom when he is gone. The entire rest of the classroom was extremely productive all day long.

I wonder....hmmmm.

Good Morning!

Didn't get to workout last night. JR had a basketball game that I went to... it ended a lot later than I thought it would and I was an hour away from the gym... so, no workout for me. I get to go tonight, though.

St. Nick came last night. The munchkins are all happy this morning. They love getting little treats in their stockings. Irma and the cats also were happy this morning. The cats were rolling around in crack... I mean catnip when I left the house. Irma had already tore through one of her three bones.

I got gum, which makes me happy.

Have a good day, everyone! I hope to get some stuff accomplished. (I can hope and hope, but it probably won't happen)

Porty,

My heel is still bothering me. The podiatrist prescribed Voltaren gel for me to rub my heel in the hopes it might help, but so far I am not thinking it is doing much. Of course I have a hard time remembering to put it on the 3 times a day I am supposed to. Plus they want me to rub in 8 ounces into one heel. That is a LOT of gel to be putting on one little heel. I end up only doing 4 ounces. Otherwise I would have to layer it on there like mortar and let it dry.

eric,

Interesting. I've never heard of the gel routine. Does he want you to do anything such as get inserts, roll foot on a ball, ice heel, change shoes? Interesting indeed.

I slogged 5 nasty ones on the TM...nasty because the pitstops were frequent enough to make me [almost] quit a couple times.

Note to self:

don't eat a giant veggie salad, a clementine, and a bowl of lentil soup/stew for supper the night before a jog.

No errands today. I was SICK of errands by the end of yesterday. I'll go either tomorrow or Thursday for groceries and some holiday purchases.

One kewt story:

I stopped at Perkins Restaurant to purchase a gift card for Aileen [86 yr old MIL who rarely cooks anymore, eats processed boxed or frozen meals, and loves to eat bakery goods]

Anyhoooooooo, that restaurant is GRAMMA CENTRAL!

HAHAHAHA holy crap....the blue haired folk had taken over the place for what was either late lunches or early supper.

It took for fucking ever to get the gift card cuz the grannies and grampas are super slow at checkout...checking, double checking the bill, taking hours to dig around and find that extra penny, trying to figure out if they'd left a tip on the table.

(kewt as buttons were the couples who couldn't hear or see a damn thing their partners were doing)

porty--I am sorry to admit my Grandma is exactly like that. She's blind as a bat and pays with cash. And she tries to pay with exact change. If she does get change, all the bills have to be put in order. Since she can't see, that takes a long time. I do feel bad for people behind us in line, but what are you going to do? Grandma is 96 and I am so lucky to have her!

when I'm that age, I'm sure that people will be in line behind me too.

Last week, when in a restaurant with my MIL, I sat patiently (while my blood pressure sky rocketed) watching her unwrap, slowly unfold, ponder, smooth out, and use a moist towelette before eating. She even offered to tear it into thirds so my BIL and I could clean our hands.
We politely declined.
Watching her attempt to re-fold and find somewhere to dispose of it was equally entertaining.
Sweet woman, but pretty much drives me nuts.

for me, cross friction massage is the best for PF. Or ART would be another option.
