8.4 miles. Perfect marathon weather. 49F and clear. No wind. However, I felt like crap due to lack of sleep.

Loopy - did you at least drive on the mountain road?

Dan - something is better that nothing. Hope you're feeling better

FB - that sounded like fun!

BBS - hope the tempo goes better than the deer stalking.

Dan- trail cameras are the best scouting tool to date. They hunt 24 hrs a day and basicaly let you know what all is living and comming thru your area. This is very handy since deer are about 70% nocturnal

I shot me a doe early this morning and have since seen 2 more does and 2 fawns.

BBS - Isn't that the way it normally works. You do all the scouting you want and then when you can go hunting, nothing! It's like they know you are out there. Glad to see you got you one this mroning. Have a great tempo run.

FB - Loosen those legs up.

Dan - Have a great run.

RA - Enjoy the rest day.

Chances - Nice run! Taper not driving you crazy yet.

Me - 32 tough miles on the bike this morning. I have a touch of the flu and it is taking a tool on my. I struggled to keep up with the group and finally gave in and let them go. I was trying to maintain 21+ IB and after about 10 miles I was done. I think I may have been partially dehydrated from the medication.

Happy training everyone.

FB- you've been pulling some impressive mileage lately.

loopy- rest? I didn't know you did that. Enjoy it.

RA- gorgeous here, too. First the first time, I started to regret not doing the marathon in November.

Chances - enjoying the taper--that's a new one.

Jebba- I think in my hunting time I may have shot the whole family.

BBS- I have never used a field camera. I just go out looking for something to shoot at. Of course I have not been hunting for quite a while. I do hold the family record for 4 Antelope in 4 shots, but not in the same year of course. You have to draw for them in Wyoming even though I think there may be more of them than actual humans.

Dan- Glad to hear the meds are working.

I got out for 5 miles in 2 seconds faster than yesterday 41:03(8:12). The last mile was 6:51. I am going to be doing an easy run tomorrow, so my legs can just chill. Have a great morning everyone.

BBS--Come on over!!! This is why you aren't seeing any there. They are all in my back yard! Three are obvious. Can you spot the fourth?

Nice running all.

Fishbowl for me this morning. The gym has taken to hiding random pool toys. This morning it was small hand paddles, so I decided to use the large. Not bad! Planned on only doing 500 with them but since it wasn't that much harder I threw in a second set of 500. 3000m total. Son1 joined me for 1000m.

Ended up having to take son1 all the way to campus as he didn't have enough time to catch the bus. Good thing I was tired and didn't have the energy to pitch a proper fit. Rush hour traffic with rain is NO FUN!!! Hey idiot--if you rear end the car in front of you, GET OFF THE STUPID ROAD to exchange information!!! The highway was backed up for MILES...........

Tempo went well.. a tad bit too fast actually. Don't know why, but I couldn't slow down, maybe the new shuffle? I'm not used to listning to music when I run. Maybe just a lil left over adrenalin from this morning. 6 Miles- 8:25, 7:29, 7:23, 7:29, 7:25, 8:03.

Run done, deers at the processor, my man cave's trim packeage is on its way to my house... I believe its time for a bit of R&R. My go hunting again this afternoon.

I got my run done in the rain again today. Something like 7.5 miles. I'm considering doing a really hard taper over the next 4 days and running Sunday's half marathon hard. Gotta think about it overnight.

Way to go folks! Doing work as always!

Solid workout today...tough but manageable. 8x hill repeats with increasing tempos at the top. 2x10sec, 15sec, 20, and 25. Those last few were igniting a fire in my hamstrings...felt really strong from my lifting though. Then back to campus with a 5min tempo on the way, then the track for 4x300 in 55-56 w/ 1min rest. First one way fast, second one way slow, last 2 were spot on. It was a lot of fun since I added a new member, so now I have 2 freshmen. I felt really bad that his first day with us was a doozy of a workout though.

Bagged intervals this morning since my hamstring was still not quite right from the long run Sunday and basically did them on the Elliptical sandwiched between 2 miles warm up and 2 miles cool down on the treadmill. Hopefully a very easy 5 tomorrow morning will set things on track.

Nice runs all. JIll - just don't eat too much chocolate the nite before Alex, just reading your workout is making my legs sore.
