Rise and shine campers!!!

Asics--hang 'round here long enough and David and I will get you to do a triathlon!

Legs still feeling Saturday's ride so opted for my shorter neighborhood route. Interesting to run the route where this whole running thing started. I did manage to find my mojo out there, logging 4.5m at a 8:50pace. Didn't feel that hard. Huh... I need an 8:45 for MP.

10 or so miles this morning while avoiding getting ravaged by a rabid fox.. 55F and clear. The nice running weather didn't seem to help me with my semi slog. One day my legs will work again... one day...

4boysmom - recovery run, eh? It's the swimming, I used to swim as a young kid but then grew into a sinker and started to hate having my face in the water. Weird as we used to love going to the local pool. Anyway, I never got past those two things.

Hi guys.

Mom -- I'd love to do triathlons, if there wasn't all that swimming and biking involved. Nice MP + .05 run today.

RA -- Foxes are cute. Even ones foaming at the mouth. Great tenner.

Me -- Heading out soon for 12, with 6 X 1200 thrown in there.

4BM great job finding your mojo this morning.

Asics, yikes watch out for those rabid foxes!

Chances good luck with your 12.

I did 10 miles on the canal path. Have I mentioned how much I am loving our recent weather?

Morning...

Loopy - How much do you love the weather?

Rob - Have a great 12

RA - One day. One day your mojo will return home!

4boys - Back to your roots with a good morning run

Up for hours trying to make my new iPad sync with my computer calendars. Only chat support sucked. Calendars are now a mess and get to spend a chunk of today trying to fix it. Well, I was excited about getting one.

Good morning everyone!

4BM - Nice run this morning!

RA - Way to outrun the Rabid Fox! I think secretly you are wanting to start swimming again so you can do triathlons. Give in to the desire! You can't hide it forever, you 're not getting any younger you know!

Loopy - Glad you are enjoying your runs in this cool weather.

Dan - Good luck fixing your calendar. Nice run on those tired legs.

BBS - Hope the run went well!

Me - 31 mile group ride this morning. Just didn't feel as though I was in the game today. I don't think my head was in it today, idk. My left knee is giving me problems again; I guess I should be happy I went almost 2 years with little problems. I think it came from the downhill running during my HIM. It took me a few days to find my knee brace. Tearing the house apart looking for it. I found it this morning, go figure, it was here at work and not at the house. lol

Happy training everyone.

Loopy-glad to have you back with us and ripping stuff up as usual.

BBS-good luck with your tempo.

Dan-sounds like you have a fun toy to tinker with!

Off to get some more reading in before class. Some sort of hill and tempo workout today. Have a great one peeps!

BBS- Are we the only ones with kickrunner acting goofy. It acts like it wants to keep loading something and such and then when I do post it usually has internet explorer not responding, but it is posting my messages. Is that kind of what it is doing to you?

I got in 5 miles in 43:37(8:43). My left quad is very sore this morning. I think I either need a cold bath to soak in or just some stretching. Either one would feel nice right now. Have a great day everyone. Is anyone else having trouble with the website besides BBS?

Alex - Study, study, run...

Dave - Has it really been two years since your knee problems? Man, time flies.

Hello all...

Swimming, especially in open water, will keep me from being a triathlete. It just doesn't sound like a good idea for me.

Easy 5 or so planned for today.

RA - nice ten, rabid fox and all. Yikes.

4bm - sounds like a good run

Chances - quite a workout you have planned.

loopy - nice run and I agree the weather has been great lately

BBS - nice job on the little tempo run, almost the exact same type of workout I did yesterday...I did 2 miles both for warmup and cooldown, otherwise the same.

Dan - have fun getting Outlook to play nice with the iPad. (insert long-winded diatribe about Microsoft and its crappy software/resistance to open source development here)

Alex - happy reading and running

Kevin - nice 5, and no problems for me with this website...this week. A couple of weeks ago I couldn't post anything from my phone though.
Actually I enjoy the open water better than the pool. You can kinda compare it to running outdoors vs running on a TM. The black line get boring quick.

Although I don't enjoy it when the water is choppy or in the ocean with the waves, but lake water is great and even better is a river or inlet when you are swimming with the current. Its like riding a bike downhill and you can feel like you can swim fast.

I agree!!! Why do you think I call the pool the "fishbowl"? Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It gets old. OW is so much more fun. Down and back and I'm done. No flip turns every 10 strokes. Choppy water can kinda suck, but usually you are just fighting it one direction. The other, you are with the current. Oh, and as far as floaty things in OW, well, yah, they are there. Not nearly as gross as floaty stuff in the pool, especially when there's a kids' swim class in the other two lanes.

Jill-those are the best kind!!!

Workout went well. 7x ~40sec hill plus increasing tempos on top. So first repeat went hill and 30sec tempo, then we added 5sec to each successive repeat up to a minute. After those we headed to the track for 3x300m in 57-58 with 200m jog. 4 strides, and a 30min cooldown for me to get in more mileage. 79mins total.
