Rather than catching up in each day's thread I'll just data dump here.

Friday: rested at Good Harbor Beach with the in-laws. Nice day FIB delicious dinner.

Saturday: 85 mile ride. Rode with the faster group for first 67 miles. Felt it later but was proud of myself for having done it.

Sunday: Swim race cancelled so hit Silver Lake for about a 1.6 or 1.7 mile swim.

Monday: Cape Ann 25K race. 2:50 to complete. Much better than I had anticipated with all the hills. Very happy with results and progress so far.

Today: DOR and I am enjoying it

Hi gang! Haven't posted in so long, or even lurked. And, I shouldn't even be in this thread since I'm not exercising today! Eli did swim at the Y, so maybe I can count that! But, that's tenuous, as he was more interested in the lift the work crew was using to fix a light up above the pool.

Busy with momhood, doing lots of stroller running but that's about it. I signed up for an oly tri this weekend in honor of Gustav and Bonnie. So glad to be doing it, but so undertrained. Oh well, will be a nice event and will send peaceful thoughts to Bonnie during the race.

Hope to check in more frequently - will definitely next week after the race. And, after I get a workout under my belt for the week!

Miss you guys!! And, I know there have been lots of exciting adventures that's I've missed hearing about. Will have to spend some time catching up soon.

Take care!

Good day everyone.

10K run this morning at a nice and easy pace. The legs are feeling pretty good post Ironman. I will keep it easy for the remainder of the week before I start picking up the speed again and start marathon training.

Happy training everyone.

Basic daily run today. I ran with my son. Not feeling too bad from the race. I also did a little 3 miler last night with the local running club. The main person is Donnie's XC coach and I wanted to talk with him. I was really sore for that run.

Quick 30 minute trainer ride with Coach Troy doing one leg drills/high cadence stuff. That's all the time I had today.

The best selling author William Kamwamkba visited our school today. He wrote The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind about his life growing up with famine, drought, and a number of other challenges that he overcame in order to build a ramshackle windmill to provide electricity for the first time in his village. He is now at Dartmouth and is using his book proceeds to continue expanding wind power and education in his country. It is an interesting book and my students realized how few challenges they face in their own lives and how much they take for granted. The guy who lives across the street from my school also spoke - he just happened to help write Malawi's constitution. It is amazing where people turn up.

Good to see you here Beth! Have fun at the race.

7 easy miles with DH.

The Boston marathon registration will open up next week. I am not sure if I should sign up or not. It is a gigantic amount of expense just for me and we are currently single income family. Hmmmmm.

I caught a glimpse of what movie actors go through today. DD will be in a Hollywood movie (ok, just an extra) and we went for a costume/hair fitting. Interesting & time-consuming processes. She is so excited! So am I!

Great workouts!

A 6am bootcamp followed by a 90-minute spin in the evening. I just couldn't make myself ride in all that wind.

had a 1hr hard trainer ride on the books. Bagged it. I spent the entire weeked on the trigger point roller for my PF... plus DT massage, 30min just on that area... all turns into one sore leg. It needed a day to recover. Oh, not to mention the miles and miles of cubscout popcorn selling (i.e. walking - 2-5miles/day all weekend) in bad shoes (dumb).

so 30min yoga/stretching instead
